CeeLo Green is entering a joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment, Page Six reports.
In the partnership, the label will fund his Mothership Entertainment Group, which Green will use to develop R&B and Soul artists.
“I’m certain I can rise to the occasion,” Green says of the deal. “It will be my pleasure and duty.”
Green released Heart Blanche in November, his first album since 2012.

In 2014, he left his position as a judge on The Voice because he was facing drug charges for giving a woman ecstasy. He was accused of drugging and raping a woman, but was cleared of sexual assault charges.
