Quincy Jones is a man of many hats – but it looks as if he is missing one and looking to get it back. Jones is reportedly making an attempt to repurchase Vibe Magazine, the hip-hop/R&B publication he founded back in 1994.

Reports have surfaced that Jones has joined with hedge fund BayStar Capital to make an offer of $100 million in an attempt to get the magazine back. Sources say that Jones still has a minority stake in the magazine but wants to have more influence in daily operations.

Vibe Magazine was created as an alternate to Rolling Stone and has flourished since its inception a little over 10 years ago.
