Two years ago a makeup artist was said to be drugged and raped by a certain rapper and his crew backstage at a taping of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” That certain rapper was Snoop Dogg and the makeup artist proceeded to sue Snoop and his crew for the act. But now the accuser has dropped her case in a surprising turn of events.
The accuser reportedly said in a statement that “the matter has been resolved amicably,” according to The Associated Press. Snoop’s publicist stated that the resolution had nothing to do with Snoop shelling out any money to the accuser. The woman’s attorneys filed the request August 3rd to dismiss the suit.
She originally claimed that she had her champagne spiked and was subsequently raped but no criminal charges were ever brought forth to the rapper or his entourage. Snoop struck back with a suit of his own last December and claimed he was the target of extortion and that she was trying to get $5 million in “quiet money” to keep her from going through with the lawsuit.
