“Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” has been tagged with the “M” rating because of its violence, language and adult situations. But now has the game gone too far?
It seems as if the PC version of the game has sex scenes hidden in the game which has called for groups of people to speak out about the game’s rating, which they feel should be moved up to the equivalent of an X rating.
The question isn’t whether the game deserves the rating but how (and if) these sex scenes can be found. It looks like people have “found” ways to play these scenes. A Dutch gamer by the name of Patrick Wildenborg released the “Hot Coffee Mod” which was a downloadable application that introduced interactive sex to the game.
In one of the many “dates” CJ (the main character) would get invited in by the girlfriend for “hot coffee” and the camera would remain outside while the noises would let gamers know what “hot coffee” meant. But in this interactive version, gamers would get to see and interact with what is going on in the house. Different button presses led to different sexual positions. But gamers noticed that things didn’t seem quite right like CJ still being fully clothed and how difficult it was to control the game, making the idea that it was in the game all along seem a bit contrived.
