The emcee turned President himself, Jay-Z, has felt the need to nominated his own heir to his vacant throne. A young lion by the name of Aztek has received the praise and accolades by President Carter in the most honorable way.
The first time many will hear Aztek will be alongside Hov himself on a freestyle. The song, which uses the beat from Mike Jones’ “Back Then”, was originally recorded for the third edition of the S. Carter Collection. But when the mixtape was scrapped, the song would find a home on Aztek’s self-titled mixtape hosted by Cipha Sounds and DJ Camilo.
Aztek, the Columbian bred and resident of Houston, will be the lead artist on Roc La Familia, Jay’s Latin venture. Jay initially caught wind of Aztek via videotape, of which Jay felt the need to immediately link up with the emcee and was convinced that he was the one.
