President Carter, or Jay-Z for old heads, has been retired for awhile now. But that doesn’t stop him from occasionally having the rhyming bug bite him. And where better to drop a few 16’s than on Foxy Brown’s upcoming album Black Roses.
As Foxy Brown is hard at work completing her highly anticipated Roc-A-Fella debut, she knows that it doesn’t hurt to have some input from Hov.
“He’s the cherry on the top,” she said to MTV. “He’ll come in at the end and say, ‘This needs to be tweaked here. You need to say this like this.’ Or ‘You need more cadence.’“
“It’s coming along just as I’ve imagined it,” Jay said of the album. “We’re going through it, we’re having our clashes, it’s all perfect. The music is coming out amazing, though.“

So why not drop in and punch a few verses on an album that you call “amazing” right?
Her first single will be “Come Fly With Me” and features Fox Boogie finding her Caribbean roots once again with dancehall legend Sizzla.
Black Roses is due to drop on August 23rd.
