Problems continue to materialize in the Shady/Aftermath camp. The latest of which involves DJ Green Lantern shockingly resigning from his post at Shady. But the reasons behind the departure are the real story.
It seems like Green Lantern got caught in a whirlwind of controversy, which involved a phone call to Jadakiss that led to the two talking about the Jada/50 beef. The controversial conversation in question was recorded (without his knowledge) for the DVD called On The Come Up Volume 5 and features the DJ speaking to Jada about the beef. The phone call reportedly consisted of GL critiquing Jada’s dis (“that’s a jab, where is the knock-out?”) of which Lantern says was taken out of context.
Reports are also circulating that GL spoke a little too freely about the rift between Jada and 50 by supposedly revealing information on what 50 was going to do(“You know they’re gonna bring that young boy out [referring to other members of G-Unit]“). He left to not start up any controversy within the camp (more specifically 50 Cent and Eminem) and will move on with his work elsewhere. He leaves not only the label, but the upcoming Anger Management Tour will go on without the DJ.
