During an interview on Sway In The Morning on Shade 45, Dee-1 details his first encounter with DMX backstage at a concert in New Orleans.
“He [DMX] kept coming up to me like, Have I met you before?, yo do i know you?” Dee-1 says.
The Louisiana rapper says that even though he had never met DMX, he felt a connection with him.
“It’s our spirits,” Dee-1 says. “We’ve spiritually been connected since i was a little boy. I know it.”
