It’s official! Nas and Kelis have finally tied the knot. This past Saturday the two jumped the broom in Atlanta. Even though the two have been larger than life, the ceremony was reportedly small. In attendance were the likes of Olu Dara, Nas’ father, and his younger brother Jungle, who was also the best man.
The high profile couple hasn’t been the center of any media frenzy, but they have done enough to stay relevant in their respective careers. They met back in 2002 at a P. Diddy after party and have been attatched at the hip ever since. Nas even went as far to say that it was “love at first sight.” Shortly after the “fate” meeting, the two got engaged on Christmas Eve back in 2002. A little over two years later they finally took the walk.
The wedding was a bit of last minute action, Kelis was scheduled to perform in London but abruptly cancelled her date to make the most important date of her life up to this point. No word on any honeymoon plans but word is that Nas will be back to music at the end of the month to continue promoting Street’s Disciple
