Amjed A. Abdallah, the owner of the studio where Eminem recorded his debut The Slim Shady LP was found shot to death Tuesday inside of the studio. Investigators have yet to determine a motive in the shooting.
AJ Abdallah, 36 years of age, was found on the floor of Studio 8 dead from gunshots. Police said he had been shot twice and recovered three bullet casings from a .357 caliber revolver. It could have possibly been a robbery but authorities said that the body had been dead for at least two days. Equipment was missing from the facility.
“Everybody says he was a prince of a guy,” the detective said. “He did record for rappers, gangster rap and hip-hop, but we haven’t found anyone who had any particular problem with him yet.”
The studio was listed in an auction that we had reported earlier on eBay. The asking price was $215,000. Abdallah reportedly decided to sell the studio because he was spending more time in New York.
