A week after a shooting outside of a Ja Rule after party in Illinois, a man suffers the same fate in New York City. On Monday Ja rule hosted and after Christmas party at the LQ Club in New York, when the shots were fired across the street from the nightclub. According to NYPD Detective John Sweeney, the unidentified man 39-year-old man was shot and killed and his friend was shot in the stomach. The shooters allegedly ran out of the club after arguing with the two victims when they began firing.

The 39-year-old man reportedly drove himself to the 17th police precinct station to report the crime and died later when he reached the hospital. At the time of the shooting, three hundred people were still inside the club celebrating. No motive has been given as to why the crime happened but police are looking for a suspect described as an African American in his early 20
