2 years ago, one of the left coast’s most talented yet underrated wordsworths was incarcerated for DUI. He seemed to be getting ready to reach superstar status. But troubles with his label and the aforementioned DUI put the emergence of a true lyricist on hold. But they couldn’t hold him long enough.
Ras Kass finally was released from prison last week and promises to return with a vengeance. The Carson emcee first has to face litigation with his former label Priority. The label has been at odds with Ras over the years and has held up the release of his highly anticipated Golden Chyld, which sadly may never see the light of day.
After that is taken care of Ras Kass will hit the studio and hit it hard. While locked up Ras has said to write over 100 songs and is eager to release new music. In the meantime, he is preparing to drop a new mixtape to hold over fans while he is working on the situation with Priority.
