While the public continues to hold their collective breath waiting on 50 Cent’s St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, 50 knows he doesn’t need to release an album for the monetary benefit. The rapper has earned over $50 million dollars in the past year.
Even though he hasn’t released an album, various endorsement deals, films, record label, clothing and a sneaker line have made 2004 a very prosperous year for 50. From raking in ridiculous dollars in his deal with Ecko Unlimited to his G-Unit footwear line through Reebok, 50 has certainly seen his stock rise by making a great deal of legal cash. Other ventures such as G-Unit Records’ releases by cohorts Young Buck and Lloyd Banks as well as his endorsement deal with Glaceau to produce “Formula 50” water has aided in making 50 a very rich man.
But don’t think that 2005 will be a slow year for the rapper. He has a major motion picture, a video game through Vivendi/Universal games, a new album and the launch of a women’s division of G-Unit clothing already on the horizon for the new year. Expect 50 to be near the top of the year’s highest paid entertainers list.
