It seems as if being a “Bad Boy for Life” isn’t for him. Loon has left Bad Boy Records due to what he feels is a lack of attention on the label’s part. “I definitely want people to know that this was amicable”, Loon told MTV. “I been such a loyal artist for the past four years. However, I never really had the opportunity to establish myself because of court cases, Shyne, J.Lo etc. None of those were Loon situations, but I took them on and we overcame them together. Puff has had a lot of success and I was established as an artist in terms of doing songs for the ladies, but that took away from the many dimensions of Loon”.
Now that he is no longer an artist on Bad Boy, Loon plans to start his own label Boss Up Entertainment and maintain control over his own music career. “I can’t be anybody else’s artist. With the knowledge I possess, I would be a fool to just sign another deal. I own my publishing— I own everything”. Along with releasing new material he’s been working on Loon is looking to sign new artist to his label and continue his new acting career. “I’m trying to position myself in the right way in both fields”, he continued. “I’m not that old, so I’m in no rush. I just want to do it right. Now the smoke is clearing, and you will be hearing something from me very soon”.
