Jhene Aiko addressed injuries suffered after being involved in a car accident with a photograph and a statement released on Instagram yesterday (August 26).
Aiko said she suffered a broken wrist, a chipped tooth and that she had to have stitches on her chin. The singer also expressed gratitude for the safety of her daughter and other passengers who were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Aiko addressed the effects of the accident with the image and caption, which can be viewed below.

Aiko released her Sailing Soul(s) project in 2011, a collection that featured several rappers, including Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Her collaborations with Lamar have led to a bond between Aiko and Top Dawg Entertainment.

The latest member of TDE, SZA, reached out to comment about the car accident with a tweet.
Although the singer has collaborated with Top Dawg Entertainment frequently, she has also become an artist revered by others. Casey Veggies, Lecrae and Childish Gambino tweeted about Aiko’s car accident as well.
