E. Dan has been named Director of A&R for Rostrum Records. The Pittsburg, Pennsylvania-based imprint announced that he will also be an in-house producer for the label.
In his new role, E. Dan will help to guide the album-making process for Rostrum’s roster and scout new artists and producers. “Although I’ve been a part of the extended Rostrum family for many years now, I’m happy to be an official part of the team,” E. Dan said in a statement.
Rostrum Records is home to Pittsburg natives Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller, two artists that E. Dan has a long history with. The producer, engineer, and mixer founded his studio, ID Labs, in the Steel City in 2004. Since then, he has worked on a number of songs that have been featured on several different projects of Khalifa’s and Miller’s that were released through Rostrum, including Wiz’s studio albums Rolling Papers and O.N.I.F.C. Both albums debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart during their initial week of release.
E. Dan and ID Labs also provided their musical talents to Mac’s studio albums Blue Slide Parkand the recently released Watching Movies With The Sound Off, which more than 100,000 copies during its debut week, which also included competition from Kanye West’s Yeezus and J. Cole’s Born Sinner.
