In what has to be one of the most controversial decisions made concerning a hip-hop concert that hasn’t yet happen, police are voicing their opinion early. Many hip-hop fans were disappointed recently when Atlantic City concert was cancelled because of the police’s fear of possible violence. Noreaga, Styles and Khia were set to take the stage at the Sandcastle Stadium until police informed the managers that Nore could possibly bring a gang element to the concert. Atlantic City police are alleging that Nore was closely affiliated with the Bloods and possibly connected to another New Jersey concert where eleven people were either shot or stabbed.

Mario Perrucci, the manager of the Sandcastle Stadium told MSNBC, “Whatever it might be, if there was a report that it was an absolute, almost certainty there would be violence, I wouldn’t have it here”. An agreement between the city and promoters has been reached. The promoters, Platinum Link Entertainment has agreeded to put up $15,000 for extra officers to secure the event.
