Can Murder Inc. Records and Irv Gotti take over the rap game more than they already have? Everybody sit back cause I think Irv Gotti is working to make the “INC” the number one record label. According to MTV, Irv Gotti is hoping to get Shyne signed to his record label. I mean of course Shyne is still under Bad Boy contract but he is also serving a ten-year prison sentence. Apparently the possibility of trying to sign Shyne to Murder Inc. was brought to Gotti through Nas, the newest member of the murderous click. Shyne and his lawyer Murray Richman are currently going through all possible legal avenue’s to get him released. Irv Gotti, Ja Rule and Nas will all be meeting with the Belize native at Riker’s Island very soon.
“Next Monday, I’m going to Rikers [Island] to have a sit-down with Shyne,” Gotti said to MTV. “If there’s any way that the guy can get an appeal, if he wants me involved, I would love to help him. I would love to get him out, and I would love to have him on Murder Inc. Nas actually has pioneered this, because he was like, ‘We need to get some “Free Shyne” T-shirts.’ Nas just got it in my mind hard. Nas is a boss, and if he is like, ‘Shyne would make a great addition,’ I’m gonna try to make it happen.” Though Irv it keeping hope alive to sign Shyne, he is still under contract with the original Bad Boy himself P.Diddy.
