One third of the rap trio The Lox (Living of Xperience) David Styles also known as Styles P, recently released his first solo album “A Gangster and a Gentleman” on July 9th, but that isn’t the only major thing he has lined up in his life. In November Styles will begin serving an eight-month prison term for stabbing a man in the “backside” during an altercation. Styles recently told the New York Daily News his thoughts on his impending jail time and his plans once he’s there.
“Who wants to go to jail? Jail sucks,” he said. “You get treated like an animal. I’ll catch up on my reading, get in better physical shape, get some rest.” As for his new album, Styles is enjoying national radio and television airplay for his single “The Life”. Collaborators on his solo album include R& B singers Angie Stone and Lil Mo as well as fellow group members Jadakiss and Sheek, who is currently in the studio working on his own solo album. Styles P’s album has jumped from number 86 to number to on this weeks Billboard charts.
