After having platinum success with his last album J.O.S.E (Jealous Ones Still Envy) Fat Joe is now in trouble with the law. On July 10th Fat Joe turned his self into police custody after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest. The arrest warrants stems from an incident that allegedly happen on May the 12th at legendary blues singer B.B. King’s restaurant in New York. A man alleges that after an argument with members of Joe’s crew, Fat Joe punched him in the face and caused him to suffer a broken jaw.
Though Fat Joe has declared his innocence in the situation, police still contended there was enough evidence for an arrest warrant. If Fat Joe is found guilty of the charge second-degree assault, he could face a sentence up to 15 years in prison and a substantial amount of fines and lawsuits. Fat Joe was expected to drop a new album later this year. No word yet on whether the album is still set to hit stores. No statement has been issued from his record label as of yet.
