8 Mile co-star Brittany Murphy was rushed to the hospital this morning and pronounced dead on arrival according to TMZ.
The celebrity gossip blog reported that Murphy went into cardiac arrest early Sunday morning and was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after the Los Angeles Fire Department received a call from the home of husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack.
The 32 year old actress played Alex, the girlfriend of Eminem (as Bunny Rabbit) in the 2002 Hip Hop biographical drama 8 Mile. Most recently she starred in the critically acclaimed film, Sin City.
