Rapper 50 Cent will be giving back this holiday season along with BET as part of the “50’s Money For Moms” contest.

The contest will award a cash prize of $10,000 to three single mothers in need. To enter the contest, entrants must write a 200-word essay on why they or someone they know is deserving of the grand prize.

Aside from the contest, 50 Cent will be taking part in a number of events this week from several television appearances to store appearances and photo op’s with fans.

In an interview with Billboard.com producer Jermaine Dupri spoke on his writing credits on Weezer’s recent album, Raditude.

Dupri, who became a fan of Weezer after hearing “Buddy Holly,” explained that “This is the first time someone’s taken a song I wrote from a different genre—it was a shot in the dark.”

Dupri was referring to “I Can’t Stop Partying”, one of two songs he wrote for Raditude.

In other music news a person pretending to be Cortez Bryant, Young Money CEO and manager, has been booking a number of fraudulent Lil Wayne and Drake shows and appearances and pocketing the money.

 “It has come to light that an individual has been impersonating Bryant Management CEO Cortez Bryant for financial gain through false bookings of his clients, specifically the much buzzed-about recording artist Drake,”
read a statement released by Bryant Management.

The impostor created a fake Twitter account and even an e-mail account using Bryant’s name.
