Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher and Daringer have released WWCD, their debut album for Shady Records. The LP is the Griselda Records crew’s first official group project following years of collaborations.
The collective’s 13-track album is produced entirely by Daringer and Beat Butcha. Guests include Eminem, Raekwon, 50 Cent, Keisha Plum, NOVEL and Tiona Deniece.

The Griselda Records crew has shared the cover art and tracklist for WWCD (What Would Chine Gunn Do), which is scheduled to drop on Black Friday (November 29).
Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher and Daringer’s debut album for Shady Records will feature collaborations with Eminem, 50 Cent and Raekwon, among others.
The 13-track LP is named after the late Machine Gunn Black a.k.a. Chine Gunn, Benny’s half-brother and Westside’s first cousin who was murdered in Buffalo. Production is handled entirely by Daringer and Beat Butcha.
“It’s actually like a real, authentic, all-around Griselda project,” Conway told HipHopDX earlier this year. “There’s no other producers, no other nothing. It’s just me, Daringer, Benny, West and Beat Butcha. [We] was in the studio for three days and made this album. It’s the illest shit niggas going to hear for the year. Album of the year, hands down.”

Westside gunn & conway have solo deals with shady records, as a solo artist benny is still independent but he has a group deal with shady as part of griselda. The roc nation deal is just a management deal and all 3 are managed by roc nation

Great album, Daringer was behind the boards so its proper Griselda, not watered down at all (minus Novel’s verse on Old Groove, which is ok but doesnt fit the albums sound). Benny and Conway are the hardest rappers around right now, big fan of Benny his bars are sharp as the razor he uses to cut his coke with lool Westside Gunn is alright, the constant Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt, Doo, doo, doo doo, doo. Boom boom adlibs ruin every single verse he does for me, was hoping Shady records would kick that out of his music but oh well!!! Support real hip-hop, big up Griselda

In my opinion, this business arrangement wouldn’t work. Shady records is a pop label. If the group doesn’t reach major pop status, it is a failure. Those buffalo kids should sign with a hip hop label. Shady records will destory their careers. M is not in tune with the hip hop game any more. Marshall’s career is about over. Ur wrong! Shady records doesn’t self distributed any records. Interscope distributes shady records and aftermath records. Griselda doesn’t need shady to put out records. They could go directly to Interscope without shady. Griselda’s budget comes from shady, in my opinion. If shady’s POP budget isn’t surpassed by griselda then it is a flop commercially. U big dummy!
Griselda been putting out their own records for years to this day even while signed to Shady. They don’t really need a label. Westside went to Paul Rosenburg for management and got offered distribution through Shady for a certain amount of projects. The sole purpose of Griselda linking with Shady is to expose them to Eminem’s audience.

You heard one song, you’ve heard them all. These guys are not better than any autotune rapper. Album after album after album. This quantity over quality attitude is tiring. They should’ve sit back, count their money and after a year or two they could’ve come out with a fresh album, because this is just overhyped bs.

Griselda’s business model is what Slaughterhouse’s should’ve been…use your buzz to link with outside producers/artists, create a sound, stick to it, and most importantly make music and strategically release it.
Unfortunately Slaughterhouse may not have had that luxury.
Griselda was already an established label and entity that released many projects before Shady came along. Slaughterhouse was strictly Shady artists.
The sequencing was terrible. Amounted to 9 new songs. Would of preferred 12 joints $ tad bit diversity to separate from everything else they drop. Dope grimy joints nonetheless.

I believe it is Westside Gunn who is doing these ad-libs (may not, only recently started listening to these guys but I remember the ad-libs from Hermes album), he is ruining every song. Every song. Every. Song. Boo boo boo boom! So trash. While ppl are rapping mid sentence at times, so way to take the shine off whoever is spitting. Most songs sound the same. I prefer this sound to the mumble shit, but it’s all the same so I have to say this is average.

This album is very dope. All three dropped incredible bars all throughout the album. But specifically Conway is on another level on this joint.
