Duck’s girlfriend and one other bystander were wounded in the attack, which was caught on video and led investigators to connect the vehicle to the shootout and make several arrests.
Court records showed that the FBG rapper had a $100,000 bounty put on his head about a week prior to the shooting.
According to rap blog Chicago Scene 88, an FBI report cited an unnamed witness they spoke to in August 2020, just weeks after Duck’s murder, who stated that King Von was the one to allegedly first offer $50,000 for anyone who killed Duck, before later upping the reward to $100,000.
The witness went on to claim that King Von celebrated FBG Duck’s murder by buying everyone in O’Block a new chain. The docs also reportedly stated that the gun used in Duck’s murder can be linked to a dozen other cases.
