Jim Jones has boldly claimed that he is a better rapper than Nas.

Sitting down for an interview on the Joe & Jada Podcast, Jones had some bold words for the rap legend.

He said: “I was a superior Nas fan but when you get into the game you realize your idols be rivals. My son can’t tell me one Nas record. I got a hell of a catalog. Me, Jim Jones, myself, gold records, platinum records, no Diplomats, nobody else, me, Jim Jones.

“Check my track record, then check everybody else track record. Then go to Billboard and check all my entries then check all them n-ggas entries. I been spanking a lot of this shit. Pull up Nas’ Billboard entries, then pull up my Billboard entries.”

Jones has also had fighting talk for the Clipse after they released their new song “Ace Trumpets”.

Speaking to Bootleg Kev at the BET Awards, Jones showed there was no love loss between himself and the Virginia duo.

Jones dismissed the track, saying: “What’s so great about it? It’s good in what? The nostalgic value of it? I don’t believe it. I don’t believe it, I don’t believe them.”

He added: “But that’s a whole other story and I don’t wanna downplay nobody’s craft… but I don’t listen to their music and never have. I don’t recall too many records that I can remember.”

Jones was not a fan that Pusha was ranked in a top rappers of all time list and made his feelings known: “What has he done that puts him in the greatest rappers of all time? Besides talk about cocaine that he probably didn’t get himself. He could rap his ass off but what has he done? Nobody has dressed like him. Nobody want to be like Pusha T. I don’t remember nothing.”

Jones’ comments led to the duo exchanging disses with Pusha flaming Capo on a track that was premiered at Louis Vuitton’s 2023 fashion show.

On the song, King Push rapped: “Beware of my name, that there’s delegate / You know I know where you’re delicate / Crush you to pieces, I’ll hum a breath of it / I will close your heaven for the hell of it / You think it’d be valor amongst veterans/ I’m watching your fame escape relevance / We all in a room but here’s the elephant / You chasing a feature out of your element.”
