Before breaking multiple Billboard chart records, Drake‘s claim to fame was a recurring role on the Canadian series Degrassi: The Next Generation where he had dreams of one day becoming a rapper. In an earnest letter he penned to his mom ten years ago, he thanks her for funding his rap career thus far, promising to pay her back after running up her credit card on eBay.
“Dear Mom,” Drizzy wrote. “I have cancelled the Wire Image subscription due to my eBay charges coming to more than I had planned for. Please know that you will [be] reimbursed fully through several methods and or means of payment.drake dkadadfadfadf”
It’s safe to say that the OVO boss has more than repaid his debt. Drake appeared at #69 on Forbes’ recent list of the highest-earning celebrities, making $38.5 million in the span of a year. He’s also been sponsored by the likes of Nike, Sprite and Apple.
VIEWS sold nearly a million physical copies within its first week and continues to hit chart milestones including tying Michael Jackson’s 1983 record of seven straight weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 and Hot 100. Jackson did it with Thriller and “Billie Jean” more than 30 years ago, and Drake became the second male to do it with VIEWS and “One Dance” featuring WizKid and Kyla.
“Thanks for temporarily funding my music and wardrobe,” he wrote before autographing the letter.
The 29-year-old rapper is slated to beef up his income further with his Summer Sixteen tour alongside his What A Time To Be Alive partner Future. The 59-city tour begins in Austin, Texas on Wednesday (July 20) and wraps up October 16 in Newark, New Jersey.

A day in the life of a kid from the burbs.
that penmanship is amazing for a dude who “started from the bottom”
Lol! It looks like it was written during a night of excessive drinking. Glad he paid mom dukes back lol!
Who knew he would grow up to beat Chris brown’s azz lol. That’s why breezy had to have ties with the bloods just so he can seem tuff to keep hold of some type of image. I thought he won his “bottle throwing fight” with Drake but google it..Brown posted pics of his face and dude was bleeding viciously from his face due to a cut he received by king Drizzy.
I wonder if his ghost writers right that for him too ??
Pardon the error. I wonder if his ghost writers wrote that for him too??
