DJ Khaled Brags About Beating Tyler, The Creator During 2nd Sales Week

DJ Khaled may have lost the first-week sales battle to Tyler, The Creator, but he’s proudly boasting about surpassing the Odd Future founder in their second week on the charts.

Khaled posted a screenshot of Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop albums chart for the week of June 8, 2019 on Instagram to brag about having Hip Hop’s best-selling LP. He also took a jab at the music bundles that reportedly helped Tyler’s IGOR initially top Khaled’s Father Of Asahd.

“Fan Luv thank you for all your love and support,” he wrote. “We got the #1 Hip Hop album in the country this week! #FATHEROFASAHD TO THE WORLD! LION ORDER ? @wethebestmusic @rocnation @epicrecords ANOTHER ONE ! SUMMER IS OURS !”

Khaled added, “I’m in the music bizz not bundle bizz.”

Last week, Khaled uploaded and quickly deleted a social media clip in which he voiced his frustration over Father Of Asahd’s failure to debut at No. 1. His message also featured a thinly veiled jab at Tyler, the man who claimed the top spot.

“I make albums so people can play it,” he said. “And you actually hear it. You know, driving your car you hear another car playing it. Go to the barber shop, you hear them playing it. You know, turn the radio on, and you hear them playing it. It’s playing everywhere – it’s called great music. It’s called albums that you actually hear the songs. Not no mysterious shit and you never hear it.”

Tyler reacted by laughing at the situation, but Khaled appears to be taking it very seriously.

A recent Page Six report claims his attorneys have threatened to sue Billboard after the media brand didn’t count Father Of Asahd downloads from a bundle deal with an energy drink. However, Tyler’s IGOR bundles were counted toward his sales total.

    1. What is DJ Khaled so mad about, is it the fact that Tyler The Creator actually writes and produces his own music and makes a better sounding album and raps on all of the songs on it instead of laying on the sidelines and making the featured artists do all the vocal work while Khaled says the same annoying ad-libs on the beginning of every song? “Another One”, “We The Best Music” & “DJ Khaled”.

    2. Is anybody a fan of either?? I can’t think of one person…I’m still tryin to find out what DJ Khaled does and Idk what a Tyler is…so neither gets played in my ride….bring back the 90’s and get off my lawn

          1. You one of these new sensitive young punks raised by a single mom on welfare and child support.

        1. Neither one of these guys are actual hiphop artists…why are they still on the site? Khaled just puts other artists shit together, and Tyler just rambles weird shit in a weird voice. And why would not liking these 2 put anybody in a position to not be here…these 2 are all hiphop got to offer? Seriously the stupid shit people say when they get offended for someone else is unreal

    3. The difference is Tyler wrote and produced his whole album, while DJ fat slob bought a bunch of beats and begged/bothered his industry connects for their throwaway verses then slapped his name on it and named the album after his little asshole son no one gives a shit about

    4. He probably paid for enough copies himself to take that spot. Lookin real petty and foolish!

    5. Khaled said nothing about Tyler… he’s just focused on his album being no. 1… y’all just wanna start some shit… y’all piss me off…

      1. Look up the word subliminal dummy and maybe you will retract this ignorance you display.

      2. Get off Khaleds nuts. What a pathetic idiot you are, sticking up for this oxygen thief.

        Shame on you.

    6. He tried to do a funny bundle also so he super capping about not doing bundles his didn’t even have to do with music it was a diet supplement bundle

    7. I think it is safe to say that anyone who listens to that album is a fucking loser lol. America’s taste in music is absolutely terrible these days. Both the Tyler and this album suck balls, but I hate Khaled as a human being. He’s extremely corny, annoying, over saturated, and basically, a RICH SCRUB. I’d really enjoy seeing him lose everything, and living on welfare haha.

    8. First, its we the best.
      Then its we depressed.
After this sh*t drop you like damn we stressed.

    9. I think Khaled is mistakingly looking at the scale instead of the Billboards… which makes sense. Fuck MakaBelli The Fraud… EatEmAloti

    10. The fat c*nt started out exploiting other artists by getting features to tap into their audience for record sales and now he is exploiting his own son… I hope the boy grows up ok but he’s almost destined for drug addiction and mental health issues having this fat Arab c*nt destroy his childhood!! I mean come on, the kid was barely out the womb and being listed as exec producer on his last album… Khaled looks like he should be running a kebab shop not sitting atop Billboard charts with his ear abuse ‘music’…..

    11. Either this whole thing was a rigged ploy to sell his garbage new album or this fat slob aka The Father Ashahahahahadhanoonegivesafuckabout paid to make this happen.

    12. Ego maniac cant sleep becuase his album never went straight to number 1. Go and start a support group with nicki

    13. I mean IGOR was straight trash but khaleds album was even worse, i enjoy how salty he has been about this billboard placement though

    14. straight Punk… Give Tyler his just due, I don’t like him either but I do recognize his accomplishment and to think he didn’t have to whine to get that #1. And really tho, all Khaled does now is remix songs that already came out. Lame, Lame, Lame.

    15. This guys is a total loser. I’m still trying to figure out what this guy does that he calls himself a musician. To me it just looks like he curates a crumby playlist, screams “another one” over it a bunch of times and slap his name on the cover. Curating a playlist doesn’t make you a musician.

    16. But Tyler actually has a talent in rapping. What does this DJ do? Scream the same phrases over and over. If anything , he didn’t go numbers 1 in the second week, every artist on his album did. What a fucking loser. Money isn’t enough huh.

    17. Khaled, congratulations, you played yourself. You won but at what cost you culture vulture. You cant sit at the cool table anymore, take ya fat ass over there with the dorks………. I can’t stand this muthafucka

    18. Darn shame that Hiphop is a laughing stock nowadays. The big wigs took it from the streets and squeezed all the raw and realness outta it and now were left with the remnants of what it used to be.

    19. Fkg loser. MUSiC IS NOT SPORT. So much sh*t music has got to number one. The value of music is not whether or not it gets to number one. Because: it’s business, marketing, money making, corruption, selling out, dumbing & watering down, celebrity fame, gossip/newsworthyness of scandals, fake beef & stunts, promotion, appropriation and much much more b.s. which causes HIGH SALES.
And often his music isn’t very good. This is why he was begging ‘fans’ to buy multiple cans of cheap energy drinks “bundled” with his album .. if you have to beg and bribe to get to number one, is it anything to be proud of ?

    20. so, are you big mad or little mad ? tyler has more creativity, get over it. you scream “another one” for half of the album, and you expect to get number 1 ? you wildin’ bro.

    21. “I’m in the music biz not the bundle biz”

Really? Didn’t he try to bundle his shit in some energy drink? Maybe he’s mad bc he didn’t bundle as well the other guy.

One approach he could have tried was to have made better music, maybe people would be more interested in it.
