Cordae has always been a lyrical rapper. His latest album From a Bird’s Eye View is full of contemplative bars about the trials and tribulations the 24-year-old lyricist has faced on his come-up. Cordae also worked with great talent on the project, including Eminem and Lil Wayne, but in an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Monday (January 31), Cordae offered a surprising amount of praise for Gunna’s lyrical ability after collabing with the “pushin p” rapper on his track “Today.”
“[He] paints luxury so beautifully, vividly and on a high level,” Cordae said. “Gunna is one of the most talented, dopest, genuine, and creative artists that’s out there. He paints pictures with his music, has an innate talent for that, and has a great voice as well. He deserves all of the blessings he’s getting right now.”
Cordae also opened up about his recent weight loss, which he said only made him better at his craft.
“It was calling my spirit, so I had to act upon it,” Cordae said. “It’s about opening a lane and a pathway for all creatives in different facets while protecting the mind, body, and soul. When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you do good. When you do good, they pay good.”
Cordae dropped From a Bird’s Eye View on January 14. The album includes features from Lil Wayne, H.E.R., Gunna, Lil Durk, Nas and Stevie Wonder.
As the Raleigh-bred rapper hit the interview circuit in support of the project, he joined Ebro Darden on a Brooklyn rooftop for an interview with Apple Music 1 on Saturday (January 29). During the sit-down, Cordae discussed how linking with Stevie Wonder for the project was a dream come true.
“Stevie’s like an icon’s icon,” Cordae said. “He’s like, that’s Michael Jackson big homie. You know what I’m saying? You can actually put up a great argument that he’s the best artist of all time. He’s Top 5, Top 10.”
Yeah, pictures of men kissing each other. His music is the gayest thing on the airwaves since George Michael’s “Freedom” album. Guess Gunna is a a Pokemon Master too cuz he raps like he’s always got balls in the Meowth, seriously. He’d even give RuPaul a run for his money in the gay fashion and drag department. This ladyboy is too much.
He paints gayness so flamboyantly that even Boy George, Johnny Weir and Billie Porter get hot and bothered by it.
Freddie Gibbs is somewhere punching the air, lol.
we’ll let people be the judge of that.
Still gay tho
Pushin P is genius lyrics?
