A Tribe Called Quest is preparing to make its swan song with the release of We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service.

The group’s official Twitter account shared the album’s cover art less than a week after announcing the project is set for a November 11 release.

The We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service cover art pays homage to Tribe’s sophomore album, The Low End Theory and brings the project into the modern era with a woman taking a selfie.

The group’s last LP, which will feature new Phife Dawg verses, is also set to feature André 3000, Kendrick Lamar, Busta Rhymes and Elton John.

Pre-order We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service here and check out the cover art below.

In August, Epic Records exec L.A. Reid teased all of us by revealing that A Tribe Called Quest had one more album to put out after founding member Phife Dawg passed away in March.

Today (October 27), Q-Tip confirmed a Hip Hop fan’s greatest dream, that the group did in fact reunite for a final album. The New York legend posted a handwritten note to A Tribe Called Quest’s social media to share that the four members, including Jarobi White and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, felt inspired by performing together for the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon a year ago and also touched by the Paris bombings. So they hit the studio and cooked up the final A Tribe Called Quest album.

The project features Busta Rhymes and Consequence and is set for a November 11 release date when “we will complete our paths of rhythm.”

    1. Gawd, why do these old heads continue to embarrass themselves? Seriously, legends should just sit in the back and enjoy the respect, because once they start participating on the field with the young bulls, they make themselves look like idiots.

      1. as NTG said, we dont fight against ‘young bulls’ rather against the 60+++

old ppl who r trying to reach last minute what they couldn’t achieve during their whole life are the worst

      2. Right…..so Guns and Roses reunites for a tour with old ass Axl Rose out there and no one says a thing, but these true hip hop pioneers can’t release a new record? Come on bro! What’s embarrassing is how these ‘young bulls’ you speak of continually ruin a genre of music that I have long admired for the better part of my life. There’s not many ‘young bulls’ that I give a fuck about enough to even try to listen. So, yes, I love it when some older heads make new music. These ‘young bulls’ can’t begin to identify with true hip hop artistry sans a few in the game (Kendrick, Chance…list gets real short after that).

      3. Respect the pioneers! Hip Hop IS THE ONLY ARTFORM where the legends are not respected. A TRIBE CALLED QUEST can rhyme better then most of today’s rap, or equal to it. You don’t lose your ability as you get older, you only get better. Most of your generation’s emcees never had the ability anyway! Just look at mumble rap!! lol

    2. So hip hop is only for kids? This has to be the only genre of music where you are looked down on for being involved with it after 35. Madonna’s crusty behind is out there half naked at 60 still doing shows, but doesn’t get half the hate rappers get for being 40. It’s not like ATCQ will be dropping a album full of trap music, this will be for the real hip hop fans.

      1. Except they created the album while Phife was alive. Didn’t you see the above post saying this isn’t old Phife bars, but they got together after their Tonight Show performance last year. So there’s that….

      2. Q Tip made it very Clear that Phife was alive when they were Recording this album. He made sure all Four of them got together when they had time. Phife would fly to Q Tips spot in New Jersey back and forth to Record. So I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Even Busta Rhymes and Consequence were in there vibbing with them just like old times. Instead of being so negative how about you support some real Hip Hop. Most of today’s Rappers you can’t even understand what they’re saying and all their Beats and hooks sound the same. It’s a blessing to have one of the greatest Groups of all time drop new material. Hopefully this will inspire Outkast to give us one more Album too. RIP Phife Dawg

    3. I’ll grab a copy. Not sure if it will appear to most people listening to Hip Hop today but I always liked ATCQ and will definitely cop.

    4. There goes the only perfect hip-hop discography that’s left. I want to be wrong but this album is gonna be utter #!@^

        1. Because, ATCQ and Elton John / Jack White / Kendrick Lamar don’t mix. No matter how good these artists are in their own worlds.
That’s how the fuck i predicted this album going to be BAD
Like the new De La for example. It’s decent and all but it’s not De La we oldschool heads love
          whatv

          1. its not even real. honestly, who believes that shortly b4 phife died they were working on a new album together, which they havent done during the past years… sounds pretty fake. plus the fact that “they” claim that its dedicated to phife and then “they” feature naked chick on the cover which is kind of respectless towards his widow. i also highly doubt that the new delasoul were real. all the 4 albums sounded like crap. someone trying to make money on behalf of the reputation of others. also notice in this regards that its all pre-paid and pre-order… i wouldnt waste a cent on all this

    5. We got Tribe back and Eric B & Rakim back. Now hip hop needs Outkast back. I plan to buy ATCQ’s new album without even hearing it first.

      Long Live Phife!

      1. Hold up time out. Eric B & Rakim are back where did you hear this? One of the dopest Hip Hop duo’s is back that’s fresh!!! All we need now is Mobb Deep to drop a new one, Outkast and I can’t wait to hear the new Pete Rock & CL Smooth album. Peace!!!!

    6. The Native Tongue rivalry continues who’s album gonna be tighter? De La’s Anonymous Nobody or this from Tribe.

    7. This is great news. I hope this album is a heater and does big numbers. I’m a Tribe fan from way back so of course I want them to win.

      1. The Cover with the Girl taking a Selfie was Wack!!!! The new one looks a bit better so ‘ll take that over the original one. I just wish they kept the concept of the Painted Woman (Bonita Applebum) or the Four Tribesmen. Regardless my favourite Group so I’m going to support and cop it.

    8. I dig Tribe but to have Kendrick and Elton John on the album no thx and the dela was bad as well I liked a few songs but that was it. The production was poor. I know they want more sales and to be more marketable but you have never been that group. I hop Tribe is not as bad as I think it might be.

      1. Its actually pretty good, give it a listen. I’m really digging it and it still has the same tribe vibe but more professional.

    9. What the fuck was I thinking while writing these comments below, I take it all back and I am really sorry ATCQ for trying to hate for no reason. Most of the songs actually feel like it’s the Tribe. I’m fucking loving it so much. I’m picking up two vinyl copies as soon as they are available. Fuck it, I’ll say this: AOTY, easily

      1. What does AOTY mean? and out of 5 what do you give it? Tribe has been my favourite Group since the 90’s can’t wait to cop the Album. RIP Phife Dawg

        1. Mr. Slick: AOTY stands for album of the year, most overused term round here, but really, it kinda is for me. Just like you I find the Tribe discography as perfect representation of the 90’s, and this album is a great addition. You may dislike a few tracks here and there and it’s definitely not on par with the first 4 classics but you will enjoy most of it. Like it’s new but it’s not. And to hear Busta Rhymes on so many tracks is the best part for me. I wouldn’t rate the thing just yet I will wait for the physical copies.
