“For people who don’t know, me and YG got history going way back,” the Blue:89 rapper says. “At first, we didn’t like each other. It had nothing to do with gang banging stuff or anything like that. Back in the day in high school, we had cliques. YG was in a different clique and I started messing with a clique that didn’t like YG’s clique.”

Also, KXNG CROOKED exclusively detailed a new competition show on BET called “One Shot,” that he’s hosting.

Lastly, today (July 2) marks the 20th the anniversary of De La Soul’s 1996 album Stakes is High.

DX’s Victoria Hernandez spoke with the legendary group about on the album’s legacy.

“It was definitely a pivoting point of our career,” David Jude Jolicoeu says “Like, ‘What was gonna happen? This has to make a statement of some sort.’ We were competing with a lot of groups out there and I think musically it had to change.”
