HipHopDX Premiere: Eighteen-year-old Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, Caleb Brown, just secured a deal with the reputable label, Rostrum Records. To mark the occasion, the All Def Digital team has shared Brown’s new video, “W$GTS,” which details his unwavering work ethic and intent to make his career work.
“It’s extremely exciting, especially because I knew that rapping was the lane for me,” Brown tells HipHopDX. “I used to have conversations with my friends about which radio stations we would hit first during radio promo for releases, being able to wear the gear by the label with a sense of pride, stuff like that. It’s more of a surprise to everybody around me because they legit heard me say ‘I got it’ every time they asked me a question about my music. I’m on a roll now and I refuse to get complacent.”
Directed by Evan Kidd, the electrically charged video finds the energetic Brown jumping from shot to shot, enthusiastically delivering lines about perseverance and his constant tenacity. Watch it above and cop the song here.
