After Kanye West was filmed walking into Trump Tower on Tuesday (December 13) morning to meet with president-elect Donald Trump, the press (actually, everyone) had a field day with what the two possibly could have talked about in the 15 minutes they were together. On a recent episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the clever host mocked their meeting in his opening monologue. “You could tell it was high-powered meeting ’cause Kanye was wearing his formal sweatsuit,” he joked.
Yeezy later explained via Twitter that he met Trump to discuss “issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago.” Whatever the reason for the meeting, Colbert gave an earnest effort at making light of the absurdity of it all. Watch above.
