    1. I’m pretty sure one of them, Raekwon or Ghostface, just said in a recent interview that they didn’t think this would be Wu’s last album.

      Read up!

    2. Read up, they both said it. As did meth. They told us the same. During the press conference though, rza said “we’ll leave that to warner bros.” I don’t think Rae and ghost are the biggest variables, though they are significant ones. I think it’s scheduling. I think it’s rza. And I think it’s the fact they basically made two albums in two years. Plus, Rae’s solo, ghosts solo, Meth’s solo are supposedly coming. Then there’s touring. Then there’s movies. Then there’s the fact that they’re all 40. Do the math…

Nevertheless, I should’ve explained that better. Still getting reps. Thank you for the comment, read up.

    3. big fan, but they all haven’t been seen together since that “press conference” and I’ve read grumblings in other interviews. something in the milk ain’t clean.

      1. I’m not expecting much from this album. So far I’ve heard 1 beat & i believe its “Mistaken Identit” that Rae is spittin on that has that grimy sound to it. The thing i noticed, in all the 5 songs they released, Ghost sounds disinterested, no hunger in his voice & his verses are subpar far as he goes. And i think that will affect the album in a real bad way. It’s gonna drop & the will be those who refuse to admit its not very good & those who will say it sucks. The truth is always somewhere in the middle. Truth is Wu has a Holy Grail of producers that could craft a super album. 4th Disciple,Mathematics,Cilvaringz,Rza,&Bronze Nazareth-Hand it off, let them do the production & we will all get that Clan album We ALL WANT!
        PEACE

    4. From what I’ve heard of the album so far, I’m far from impressed, Rza seems to wanna make melancholy joints with 3rd rate rnb singers they don’t even blend with the track.ill give them the benefit of the doubt only because Wu tang was everything to me in the 90s,I’m sure like so many others back then you couldn’t tell me jack shit bout the Wu.but over the years the music had got weaker and weaker, yea the solo joints are usually all good ( GZA, ghost, raes last few joints) but as a group I struggle to see what rzas tryna do. Coz half the time I’m listening for a new track f theirs I’m fiending for the witty unpredictable and am left feelin more unwitty predictable. Please Wu Tang prove me wrong and bring back the MUTHAFUCKIN RUCKUS

      1. Probably for the album’s release. It’s widely available on December 2. I appreciate you checking the video. Thank you, Madry23.

    5. You just can’t force that shit. You know how hard it is for 9 45 year old mothafuckas to spend time with each other and get along? Think about when you’re chillin’ with your friends. If it’s two of you, it’s all good. Three, even better. Four, cool. Any more than that, and niggas start arguing over shit, this nigga said something that made this nigga uncomfortable. This one fucked this one’s girl like 10 year ago and dude is still harboring animosity. This one owes that one 200 dollars and he doesn’t wanna bring it up but he feels like he has to. I mean, that’s just the way it is. I love the Wu. But you can just feel that there’s an element of resentment and bitterness among them now. Even at the concerts, you’ll see one of ’em lookin’ at another one sideways, or you’ll see that some of them aren’t into it, or think certain songs are wack. It’s just not a good ‘feeling’ among them any more. Certain ones click well with certain others, and some don’t. I’d rather see them just tear it down than to force it.

      1. Man, LA Rock The Bells 2013 was painful. That show alone deserves a dissertation on how to make the wrong history. Thank you for checking the piece, Sensaye Sixkiller.

    6. the one copy joint was done over six years, not two. read up. and that’s one any wu head wants and the one they cant get.. bullshit if u ask me

    7. Great piece. In all likelihood, this is the last of the Clan as one unit on one album. Think about it – it took them this long to put out A Better Tomorrow, and they grumbled throughout the process. For the sake of arguing that another group album will occur, exactly when can fans realistically expect that project to drop? 2016 at the earliest, and more probably 2017. At that point, even their youngest members will be pushing 50 along with the the majority of their fan base. I just don’t see the Wu grumbling through another project at that stage in life. Of course, the prospect of creating new income can make stubborn minds unite. Speaking of money, the “upper tier” system actually makes sense. The fact is, fans tune in to hear, in no particular order, RZA, GZA, Ghost, Meth, and Rae. Deck should be in the upper-tier skill-wise, but he’s not big in terms of a selling artist. U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna just aren’t in the same bracket. Hell, I’d be happy if Cap wasn’t even in the group.

      1. I would say Masta Killa ” No Said Date” was by far one of the most underated Wu Tang CD ever made. It is very good.

    8. @ Justin Hunte:
is it possible that you do more articles because you the only one with good info and serious info about hiphop the rest of the DX staf are a bunch of clowns with no knowledge about hiphop.

    9. They’re doing what too many veteran rappers start doing…taking themselves way too seriously. If you’re not having any fun in the studio, the music is gonna come off as stiff and uninspired. That doesn’t mean every song has to be about partying and shit, but these niggas just sound grouchy and disgruntled. It’s effecting the music. The only way they’re gonna get back to wheeling out great music is if they just say “You know what? fuck it..let’s stop trying to be perfect and let’s stop making all these pronouncements about the Wu legacy and shit and just start making music, daily. Some of it will be weak, some of it will be great, but let’s just get back in the rhythm of making music without caring so much about the result.” Rza is a classic example of a producer who is stuck in that zone of not knowing what kind of sound he wants to make. It’s like writer’s block, for a producer. How is it that Alchemist and Pete Rock can put out 100 beats a year and Rza struggles to put out 5? I know he’s got a lot going on, but anyone who makes beats knows that you can smoke a blunt and make a beat in 30 minutes if you know what you’re doing. Some will be better than others, but at least you’re putting out work. Don’t give me that quality over quantity shit, because the 5 beats a year he puts out have not been that good. The only good beat I’ve heard so far on this album is “Necklace” and he didn’t even produce that one. What’s really going on here? I’d like to actually see Rza in the studio pushing buttons, because sometimes his beats sound like he doesn’t really know how to engineer the equipment. It’s just that he can put out anything and mothafuckas that will say it’s brilliant no matter what, and he’s resting on his laurels. Peace.

    10. Who cares! Just listen to the music and shut the fuck up! I swear, hip-hop fans are the most annoying fans. Fuckin’ lames.

    11. the single is garbage, and i dont expect the album to be any better. Cappadonna lies. based on the single i agree with sir sensaye – it sounds forced, over produced, and lacks passion. RIP wu-tang

      1. He got a point tho. The Wu really hasn’t dropped anything of pure dopeness since “Triumph” dropped back in 1997.
