Nappy Roots will forever be immortalized in Hip Hop history thanks to the group’s breakout album, 2002’s Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz, which burst with country flavor. It’s been over a year since the Bowling Green, Kentucky natives released The 40Akerz Project and they’ve finally resurfaced with “Yelp” featuring DopeHouse affiliate ForteBowie. Produced by SMKA’s 808Blake, the track sounds a lot like early ’90s booty rap and hails from Nappy’s upcoming album, Another40Akerz. The album is expected to arrive in 2017.
