By many accounts, Nas 2020 comeback album King’s Disease can be considered a modern-day classic. At least, in terms of momentum and accomplishments.
For Nas, a spry 47 years old at the time of its release, had finally accepted the capitalistic spoils earned from a successful celebrity run and begun to resemble JAY-Z with the big money headlines he was consistently creating.
But Hollywood was never able to change the Queensbridge kid and he complied his thoughts of Blackness, progressivism and a healthy mix of new and old school and capped a legendary-career-regardless with his first-ever Grammy win just in March.
King’s Disease’s success trickled down back into a Nas omnipresence within current Hip Hop and equally validated its producer Hit-Boy, who had frankly lost his rap game recognizance after parting ways with Kanye West in the mid-00s.
Like all great pillars in American culture, Nas and Hit-Boy made the collective decision to order up a sequel and attempted to magnify the project’s visibility adjacent to Kanye West’s now failed Donda release date.
Without the side-by-side drop date legacy to propel the conversation, King’s Disease II is a modest collection of Nas music without any true watershed moments.
Ironically, the efforts aimed to trend the album are the ones that hurt the project the most. “EPMD 2” (an update from the offering heard on Judas & The Black Messiah soundtrack) holds distinction of fusing lyrical legends Erick Sermon and Parrish Making Dollars with Eminem for a fantasy football-esque rap chart, but that’s pretty much all it does. Slim Shady’s bottomless flow buries the initial vibe of the track and takes the cohesion with it.
“Death Row East,” a scenic revisiting of his own involvement in the infamous 1990s East Coast vs. West Coast rap beef, splices together accounts of “Boogeyman Suge Knight” and 2Pac’s death atop a wailing mandolin with sick DJ scratches, yet still feels more interesting than entertaining and lacks the woven rhyme schemes of his more lauded storytelling (think “Last Real N-gga Alive”).
Calculated rhymes such as “I can’t let you drive the boat if you get seasick/Draped in all red, she thought I was Whoopty” heard on the equally trendy titled “YKTV” (a.k.a. “you know the vibes) signal flares Nas is still present in today’s Hip Hop lexicon, but the bulk of King’s Disease II reveals remnants of his true self: cerebral, wise, boring, reserved.
Hit-Boy also doesn’t maximize on the spotlight opportunity, especially since he’s baiting Kanye these days. None of King’s Disease II’s instrumentals warrant a “type beat” Google search and only match Nas’ intensity from mood to mood.
The beats do, however, showcase the tenured producer’s range as a studio wiz. “Brunch On Sundays” (with 2021 HipHopDX Rising Star Blxst) somehow manages to capture the sound of champagne bubbles in flute glasses with a pristine sprinkling of piano keys and jazzy bass bombs. The aforementioned “YKTV”’s aggressive boom personifies the type of outside energy its co-stars, trench rappers YG and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, thrive and shine.
On “Nobody,” he spends much of his 25-year reunion with Ms. Lauryn Hill reflecting on a life without the celebrity attached, whisking away in the summer breeze. And general album cuts in “40 Side” and “Store Run” paint Nas as the weathered hustler, reliving glory days opposed to creating the new memories. The former song actually features Nas experimenting with a NY drill flow as Hit-Boy slides a Lil Baby ad-lib as trap confectionary.
Despite missing a clear-cut highlight reel, King’s Disease II earns its stripes because Nas is still a phenomenal rapper and his talent is ultimately the instrument. Without any frills, bells or polarizing guest appearance, the unassuming “Count Me In” serves as the project’s most complete record, as the typically elusive Nas opens up on the present day.
“Ain’t worried ’bout none of them, they bleed how I bleed Suffering from the symptoms of King’s Disease/Can’t let the bright lights go to your head I watched my day-ones go to the Feds,” he laments, quietly ripping Hit-Boy’s sparse sonic dream.
“Rare” serves as Nas’ most energetic performance, with the rap goat dropping rapid bars with youthful exuberance and overall love for rhyming. The track later unfolds a mafioso-laced breakbeat to let fans know the skill is real.
Anchor tracks “My Bible” and “Nas Is Good” drag to the exit door but their core messages also speak to Esco’s current state of mind and also will to his longtime fanbase’s expectations.
Although it could have benefitted from some more enticing reasons to push play, King’s Disease II solidifies Nas’ place in a Hip Hop world where even legends sometimes get put out to pasture.
Easily a great album. Great flows, beats on point. Great guest verses. Potential future classic
GOAT
Your review is ass, 5 mics
Doesnt match the orignal? are u crazy? wtf is this shit. this one one of his best albums in years. i never post but this review is sacrilegious. god damn
ditto!!!!!
Trent Clark your wack ass review does not matter because the hiphop community loves king disease 2. so go suck on some balls
Woulda been dope if the whole album was Nas and Premo.
This review is laughably bad.
WTF. ARE U SERIOUS. THIS BIAS BULLSHIT REVIEW IS REDICULOUS. THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM OF THE DECADE. U MUST BE DEAF.
5/5
Stop playing with this album. It will inspire alot of people.
It appears that the reviewer should have spent more time with the material – due to a lack of depth or insight with the criticism, and more time crafting the review itself – which is frankly not very well written.
King’s Disease 2 is better then King’s Disease 1. If KD1 got 4.1. I expected this to get 4.8. This review is for shock value. I guarantee it.
Probably the best album I’ve heard in two years.
Top tier music. ????
Great album that grows & grows on you every time you listen to it
5/5 Masterpiece
Yall sme hatin mfuckers. Yo ddnt even review the album. You put yo luv for Kanye vs Hitboy over reviewing the album. You ddnt even hide the hate. Shame. This is the AOTY
Trash review, trash rating. Read the other rave reviews of the album.
Trash review Trent. This album is even better than KD1, an album I loved by the way. You said this album doesnt “match” the “gravity” of KD1 and then didnt go on to explain how so. My Bible and the Nas Is Good outro ended the album magnificently and you said they “drag” the album’s ending. What? HiphopDX needs better reviewers! There is always a bitter Nas hater behind these editorials.
Album is another classic from Nasir, 5 Stars!
I don’t usually post on any review sites – but you need to get your fucking ears checked. This is one of Nas’s best albums and builds on his chemistry with Hit-Boy from KD1.
“ Hit-Boy also doesn’t maximize on the spotlight opportunity, especially since he’s baiting Kanye these days. None of King’s Disease II’s instrumentals warrant a “type beat” Google search and only match Nas’ intensity from mood to mood.”
This is a subjective thing – but to say that the beats aren’t a Google “type beat” search and the beat only matches the rapper’s intensity is laughable at best. You want the beat to compliment the rapper, not the other way around. Anyway, you are probably 27 and don’t know shit about the culture so go on and cook.
3.8 out of 5. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Each to their own I guess.
HipHopDX, pitchfork and some others be hating on Nas. It’s clear to us, always try to chisel God’son face From the mount. Solid album, great body of work with no skips. With time it will grow to be a classic.????
This has got to be one of the worst reviews I’ve read. I stopped coming here for a while but thought I’d check this review out. Anything less than 4/5 is a crime. This is better than the first one and I loved the first one. Whoever did this review should be reassigned.
Horrible review of a great album. Not a classic as far as Nas albums go but a fantastic addition to beautiful catalogue.
What a joke of a review…for shock value, indeed.
This album is boring. I gave it two listens. The production is tough but that’s about it. Nas sounds like an old head. He’s either going through a midlife crisis because he’s broke or just bored.
Well the Coinbase IPO just put him nearing the billionaire category, so he’s far from broke.
dude has made more money from investing with his VC firm than rapping…hes nowhere near broke.
How the fuck does that make sense he’s an “old head”, what you expect, for nigga to sound like he 20 years old again? Lol lame excuse. Be grateful you have dudes like Nas still coming with the wisdom.
Now I know you are very stupid…u are so stupid
Maybe YOUR going on a midlife crisis, moron!
It’s hard to take this site seriously as a “hip hop” site when Gucci Mane has a higher rating than this.
This album is incredible, Maybe y’all got a different version.
Below a 4.0 is bs. This is a good album. Neither KD albums give off classic vibes, but albums dont only have to be classic to be good.
The only thing that should be “put out to pasture” are Trent Clark’s reviews. Come on man. Death Row East alone is a legendary track. You should recognize how lucky we all are just to get a certified heat rock like that from Esco in 2021. No one else even remotely capable of delivering a track of that caliber. Rare, Store Run, Count Me In, Moments, Nobody…. all bang. To get a 15 song, 52 minute album from N-A-S that dropped out of nowhere with zero press in 2021 is unbelievable. KD2 solidified his grip on the throne with this one. 3.8 ? You should be ashamed of yourself.
And that is facts.. please talk to them..the reviewer is on crack
They gave Icewear fucking Vezzo the same rating…..
I am terribly disappointed but not shocked at these silly reviewers employed at HipHopDx.
This album is a solid 4/5 and it is in a lot of ways better than the previous. It is on par with Life is Good in my view.
Nas and HitBoy are a dynamic duo and i hope they make it a trio.
Bullshit review..fucckk outta here…shit straight fire, not like the first one..but the shit knocks.hip hop dx, y’all reviewer’s are on drugz these days…for the fact dat he hated Eminems verse, calling it bottomless.. y’all tripping
Trent Clark… You can just eat a sick dick for this review.. Sincerely, The People
I keep saying HHDX needs to clean house with all these wack reviewers. And to think that Mr. Clark is an editor in chief, that fact right there let’s me know there is no hope that HHDX will be relevant again. The content that comes out of here screams low tier mediocrity.
Started on this site in 2004.
HipHopDX has lost its soul, and needs to be put out to pasture.
And you, Mr Trent Clark, are not a fan of the music/culture.
5/5 album.
And better than KD1.
Weak ass review that they hid and didn’t post on the main page for whatever reason.
I think this album is one of his best and better than KD1.IMO “Rare” is a highlight among others. To me this album is 4.5 and maybe higher. You’re probably a Jay -Z fan :). Guarantee you have already gave Kanye “MAGA” West a 5.
He also gave J Cole a 3.8. Must be his favorite rating. Exercise not a “fan” but a “Stan” of JayZ. This is the worse review I’ve seen in years
This review was so fucking bad, much like “Pitchforks” I had to write a real review and rebuttal. You have my email dog hit me to debate hip-hop anytime we can jump on Clubhouse too. No disrespect to you personally – but the culture deserves better than this.
In looking back at this review, I didn’t realize how bad it was until I saw that Icewear Vezzo also got a…3.8. Now, no disrespect to him. He’s got a few joints, and I’m a big Detroit fan (shout out to Payroll and Babyface Ray).
But when you look at the body of work and hear the similarity in beats (pretty much all his beats sound the same as “The Sit Down”) and then the washed-up I’m a druggie lyrics – it starts to age almost on your first listen, let alone running it back—microwaveable music.
Now – everything has its place, and nothing worse than a backpacker ass hater. I’ll bump that in the whip just like I do Gucci, but I’m not revisiting it ten years later, let alone getting excited about it. He’ll be gone in five years, most likely. It’s like getting wall art from Target as opposed to, let’s say – the art gallery.
Now take this KD2 album, where you have a pioneer and legend who, after all this time, is still focused on giving the CULTURE quality music. He’s not bragging about wealth; he’s giving you quality relatable music that SLAPS in the whip. He’s taken his time to master his craft, and he’s doing it in a way that blends eras – he’s staying modern without being too extra with it (can’t be my age and DM’ing).
And Hit-Boy – the guy who “didn’t give us Google search type beats” literally produced an album where it sounds like 4-5 producers worked on it. 40 Side, Rare, Moments, Store Run – could have been Dilla, Pete Rock, hell maybe even Zaytoven on 40 Side. The chemistry these two have is undeniable, and it shows us that being in the studio together, and hell, liking each other goes a long way. Hit-Boy and Nas, DJ Premier and Guru, Snoop and Dre? I might be reaching, but you get my drift.
Lyrically – is Nas the same as he was when he was 21 – of course not. But he still has rewindable lyrics, and more so, he’s giving the perspective of a veteran in the game while doing so gracefully. He’ll also drop the new “slang” in a tongue-in-cheek way, which cracks me up..if you take the time to listen to music.
So this review, much like this site, is microwaveable, a quick take based on a quick feel based upon the limited subject matter on the art form of the culture. Blinded by the love for Kanye dancing in gimp suits in a stadium to an album that hasn’t even come out yet, flash over substance and quality.
It’s a fucking shame that these are the gatekeepers of hip-hop, the Pitchforks of the world – but that’s the way it is. It’s up to us, the fans, the ones that live and breathe the art, to keep supporting and doing the right thing and to call these wack inter-nerds out for what they are—interlopers in the game.
KD2: 5/5
I seen you peeped that gotdamn trash review by Pitchfork as well.
What dem kids puffing and sipping nowadays?
They losing dem brain cells…

Well said!
Phenomenal take. I applaud you sir.
Nope 5
This review is soooo dumb…KD2 is a classic..listening to hip hop is not your thing
The first King’s Disease might be more of a concept album, but this one is somehow more cohesive because the songs bleed into one another so well.
Why is it so hard for this publications to give nas his flowers smh
these*
All the nas Stan’s are mad? Why? Nas sounds boring with tired old topics he used before. The song deathrow east is wack. Listen to the last real n… alive it’s the same topic. Nas keeps repeated himself on boring beats. He has no personality and is afraid to do something different. Does he have a midlife crisis? He is done. the 90’s are over. All these people talking about classic album this and that are people from his marketing team. Face it everytime a rapper drops an album people are talking about a classic. These reviews are fake. Most journalist are afraid to give their honest opinion because rappers can not deal with criticism. I love you Trent
Afraid to do something different ? 40 side is Nas rapping over a trap beat . So that right there proves your point invalid . Just face the facts: if you didn’t like the album then cool but to come up here and say we are apart of Nas marketing team because we feel Nas dropped a classic is dumb. To drive the point home, every rapper raps the same topics . There only so many topics you can talk on . This is one of Nas best work but the review in the intro want to focus on Donda and hit boy vs Kanye . This was a horrible review . If you got criticism cool but make sure you point why you stand by that . Nas reflected on past experiences ,even the lauded ,Illmatic, reflected on his past : hence Memory Lane ! And he said cerebral, so now we criticize a rapper for wanting to sound wise and educated. Now ,I see why this site rated Gucci mane and drakeo higher than this. This album shows that Nas has range and can do everything that younger generation said a rapper of his age couldn’t do. Take 40 side and Yktv ! Nas is floating over these beats with ease . I was one of those who thought Nas should stay with boom bap because that’s my preference. But after hearing Nas on the Kings Disease series, it shows that Nas is here stay and can rip any beat thrown his way. So the question to the ones who says or claims that Nas sound the same , what would you want a 47 year old Nas to talk about? He talks about his current net worth : complaints.
He talks about his relationship problems: complaints. He talks about what really happened between him and pac coming on the 25th anniversary of pac’s death : complaints. He doing something different from his comfort zone and have great production: complaints. Make it make sense!
You hit the nail on the head. No matter was Nasir does, the critics can’t get their criticism in order. It never makes sense, their reasoning is circular, and it’s the same tired refrains…. “but, his beats”, “but..he sounds the same” “but, where are the hits?”, and then when he finally finds a great producer to mesh with, switches the beats, changes his flow and tries new things (with great success), and relates to new subject matter, the criticism doesn’t take that into account.
Guess you spent getting butt f***** by your dad in the basement to be able to enjoy good music. That’s ok, I’m sure Dianna Ross appreciates your loving support. But don’t you think you might be overdoing it by blasting, ” I’m Coming Out” everytime you see another man in drag. Does it bring back memories of daddy?
Who ever wrote this article for this website, or magazine, should be fired! This album is a classic!
Better than the first
Where did u get a 3.8 from
pitchfork and hip hop DX u need some new people running your shit , i mean oitch for gave cardi b trash album 8.7 ?? and they gave 2021 AOTY 6.1? this is how u degrade good music some thought provoking material and exchanging it with some empty souless bullshit.
great fucking album and an instant classic.
? I saw that pitchfork shit too. I stopped frequenting HHDX a long time ago and only now came back to see what was up. Guess I’ll stay away after this shit….
Trent Clark needs to be fired. Horrible review and horrible understanding of hip hop music. How the hell did you get a job at hiphopdx? Oh yeah that’s right, this site hasn’t had credibility for almost a decade. You fit in perfect with your whack views.
The man wrote ‘google search type beats’ in his review without a laughing emoji after it..all you need to know about his mentality
Nas receives so much criticism, primarily pointed at his beat selection. He links with HB and wins a Grammy (with a possible second on the way) and he still gets scrutinized. Sure, us Nostalgic heads would love for him to link with Premo and Large Pro for an album, but HB’s production isn’t boring or sleepy when it comes to Nas… It’s just sample based combined with some immaculate poetry from the GOAT. The problem lies in the fact that most pundits want every Nas album to emulate Illmatic… But Nas is too wise and educated to rap about pissing in elevators (Represent), at 47, the GOD emcee now speaks on Egyptian ancestry and spiritual warfare, but with street flare and unadulterated poetry (as he truly always has). Let’s face it, the only people who don’t appreciate Nas, especially now are those who can’t keep up with Nas’ “Rare” combination of street wisdom and dialect called Poetics.
Great sequel to a classic. I love it. It’s fire from beginning to end. Lyrics, production, features are absolutely ?. Nas does it again.
This album is head and shoulders above the first one. 4.5-5 for me.
Street Hop.
Street-Hop!!!
His penmanship is hot, though HitBoy seems to be just trying to resurrect the past. It’s an ok album but definitely not Nas’ best. Feels like he’s going backwards.
I’d say mostly ‘90s HipHop heads will love this but you could play all his tracks back to back and you’d not feel he has moved beyond nostalgia.
Dope shit!!
If we critically look at this album it’s about growth, being alive, shout out to the OGs that lost their lives in the race. Nas is just grateful on this project.
Esco did it again! TIMELESS MASTERPIECE!!!
Sit back relax & listen to REAL HIP HOP at it’s FINEST!! 5 mics
hiphopdx get off jays nuts
KD 2 deserves nothing less than a 4.5mic
thanks , y’all jus lost one
great album easily the best thing that has came out this year he followed up last year grammy with another
Solid follow-up. Not amazing but still better than most releases this year. Nice to hear Nas on a bit of a roll lately after a pretty patchy previous 6-8 years.
Dafuq is wrong with you idiots. It’s way better than the first one. And it’s so much better than the trash albums that y’all usually review from nonsensical cRappers. Nas and Hit-Boy definitely stepped their game up with this album. Lyrics, beats, and concepts sync up much better.
Bad review HHDX ?, When I heard this album, I was thinking that KD1 could have been a double disc album. Can’t decide if KD1 or KD2 is better because both albums is ?. Nas and Hitboy is like the perfect tag team capturing the present and the past and mixing it all in one for the perfect combo. Good subject content and beats that give you that true hip hop sound. I give this album a ??/??
The Best album yet. Its very settled with a smooth vibe. It has very great lyrics and the production by Hitboy is great. Finally and album that don’t talk about gangster shit and emphasizing wealth. Instead it gives you gems and it tell about another aspect of life. Big up to Nas and Hitboy!!!!! Yo anybody who don’t like this project. WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT
Lmaooo FOH with this troll review.
The mainstream has been hating on Nas for a long time.
This album at least a 4.5!!! WTF!! Nas killed it!
Nas’ albums are very high-caliber. They’re hard to swallow as a collective effort, although, it’s just hard to explain. I haven’t had a “Love at first sight” album from Nas since It was Written. But I still love them because they’re so intelligent and witty. Grown man shit for real
Great album
Good album. A solid 4.5/5. Definitely better than the first King’s disease and probably Nas’ best album in a decade. The reviewer is just a moron who knows nothing about Hip Hop. Not surprising on this website because it’s been pretty bad for years. If hiphopdx wants their credibility back they’re going to have to stop hiring people from Ohio to write the reviews.
Another classic
This album is a classic this is a problem with hip hop now these writers & journalists don’t know really know hip hop 5 mic album and I stand on that this album has everything!!!
Phenomenal Project!
Amazing body of work! Nas & Hit Boy on a roll
THIS IS 10X BETTER THAN KD1 WHICH WAS JUST A COOL ALBUM TBH.
HHDX trash reviews. ? I’m so tired of unqualified hip hop journalism and criticism. Clear classic
Masta Ace Long Hot Summer vibes. Very nice
GTFOH this one was better than the last one. Did you even really listen to it? Nas sounds so at home on these beats. 3.8/5? Bruh and Nas isn’t even my fav rapper but you have to put some respect on his name. Dude came back with the It Was Written flow…4.5/5
Can’t remember last time hiphopx gave an accurate review-you should just close this section of your site coz you don’t know what you are doing-the album is 4 minimum, maybe 4.2-
This has got to be the worst rating and logic used to review and album. You guys need to peer review some of these reviews. Not taking any review or editorial serious from HipHopDX ever again.
These are the same guys that gave dmx exodus 4.1-we respect his legacy but with all due respect to the late great, that was not a good album let’s be real-so I wonder what criteria is used here to review albums-
Instant classic. King Disease was really but King Disease is truly great!
Such a horrible review. Everyone who has heard it agrees that the album is better than the first one. 3.8:?! This is easily a 4.5 and an instant classic.
forgot to rate
I feel this CD in my heart in my bones I loved it Nas did his thang on this one again
This review is heinous, if hov dropped the same album ya would have said album of the year. Why the hate? Can’t ya let the great veteran live?
Trash review
This review is trash, kd2 better than kd1.
4.5 stars easy!!!!
What a shyt review. It feels like the author(s) were trying to hard to be critical. This album is much better than KD1. 4.25/5.
I am a fan of the site but yall be buggin. Y’all give mediocre trap albums high ratings but this one only 3.8? Cmon…. 5 of 5 for me.
KD2 is fire and Hitboy is the obvious missing puzzle to Nas’s talent that brings him back to modern hiphop. I love it! I am curious to see how Hitboys production similarity would do with other producers that can mix Nas’s voice flawlessly with modern beats. As monotone as Nas remains, it sounds perfect with hitboys direction and I am hyped to see Godson back at it at his age!
Why people care so much about the rating? Do you get amazon gift cards if the album gets given the same rating you’d give it?
If you like the album then go enjoy and ignore the rating, that’s just a number. Nobody focus on the content of the review to see if they agree or disagree, everyone just focus on the rating it was given. Smh….
The album starts off strong and loses momentum fast. Beats are so so.
Nas album is straight ???KD2 is the Album of the year and Hit boy is the producer of the year.?
I knew this was gonna happen because its obvious that this site doesn’t want Nas to get AOTY because supposedly Jay Z and Kanye are gonna come with another WATCH THE THRONE album at the end of the year. This site is basically the only site that doesn’t think that this album is better then the first KING DISEASE. I have not stop listening to this dope album its not album of the year but to me it’s better then the first KING DISEASE which was also dope as well. The streets has already stamped this album as one of the illest albums this year so far. Just my opinion.
This album is ok but it’s being overrated by nearly everyone. The biggest criticisms of this album are the lack of creativity. You can’t call any album a classic that isn’t coming close to breaking any new ground. This album is a rehash of almost every other Nas album, theme and idea he has already done before but on updated beats.
We heard the same subjects before nothing new Is being talked about. The first half has some great production the second half is slow and boring. I can’t even listen to the second half and being that none of the ideas or bars are even uniquely written nor is the production on the second half groundbreaking, there’s no reason to revisit.
Yes Nas spits on an A grade level on some verses but these verses are spread out and inconsistent bogged down by his mostly B grade rhyming.
Nas following current trends in rap style and flow is also disappointing. Nas was never a follower but New Nas definitely is following the trend of current popular flows.
Nas has said it all in more interesting concepts before there’s nothing new here worth listening to. Nas has lost a lot of the passion he has held in previous albums where every line he spit was with the immediate intensity that’s not found in his current albums.
Again not a bad album at all it’s enjoyable overall but if you’re a Nas fan you know Nas lyrically has had at least 7 better projects. Production wise maybe not but no real nas fan ever listened to nas for the beats. And even as an instrumental album it’s still just mediocre with a few classic tracks but that’s it.
6 out of 10 to 8 out of 10 is the most this album deserves. Nothing more and definitely nothing less but anyone saying anything else i could never understand.
Hip hop Dx. You guys are losing credibility when you rate KD2 like this…this is a 4/5 or better album on all platforms regardless of genre…Period
This type of review lets the real hip hop know that you guys don’t know what your doing fully with hip hop analytics….
I been playing this album since it came out. What I like about Nas’ Catalog. None of his albums sound alike. KD1 sounds totally different then KD2.
I been playing this album since it came out. What I like about Nas’ Catalog. None of his albums sound alike. KD1 sounds totally different then KD2
Is this review serious? KD 2 is miles better than the first one. There’s at most two lackluster tracks, three if you want to push it (EPMD, YKTV, maybe 40 Side). That’s 3 out of 15 dawg smh. IWW, Illmatic, Stillmatic, KD2, God’s Son, in that order nigga…
?
Is this review serious? This is possibly his 4th or 5th best album of his CAREER. There might be 3 weak tracks out of 15, ya’ll being ridiculous smh. IWW, Illmatic, Stillmatic, KD2, God’s Son, straight like that…
I love this album. Have been playing it on repeat. I love hearing him reflect. So many pieces of this to think on.
Read that review and couldn’t believe what I was reading! That person should be reviewing country music! Straight masterpiece. Had to read the comments to be sure I wasn’t going crazy!
Very disappointment rating indeed Dante. Lucikly the masses differ

Can’t get over how bad this review is. It’s a top 5 Nas album.
This album is far superior to KDI in every way! Still bumping this all the way through. Got every track memorized. Don’t even know track names of KDI. Happy it netted Nas a Grammy but didn’t like the album much. KDII too 5 Nas album.

SUPER BIG FACTS!!
This review is T R A S H, your credibility is questionable ? at this point.
Grown mature music,NaS grew and mature as time goes.
The Greatest Of All Time ?????
????Instant classic n no skips
Probably 1st with no skips since Street’s Disciple. Absolute genius.
Personally i waited more quality on output. Vocals are shh bad processed. ok if you have but why shade it bad ..
Really nice and meaningful lyrics 2021 for real Daz Nas yoo
Classic
5/5 this is what real hip hop sounds like!!
This is the best Nas has dropped on us in years – he won a Grammy for 1, he should win 2 Grammies for this masterpiece!
Yet another modern Nas classic. Amazing production from Hit and perfect delivery from God’s son. The content is well diversified and there are many lyrical gems ? as usual. The storytelling always so vivid and beautiful. Hopefully, he ll bless us with even more music in the future. The Half man half Amazing poet is still in rare form. Grammy s means nothing to his catalog. The GOAT ?!
Your review is terrile. This best Nas album since Life is Good. Fire this reviewer.
