Kanye West is hiring.
As posted on adidas’ job board, the company’s Portland headquarters currently has 17 job openings on the Yeezy product development and design teams. The job offerings range from Design Director to Senior Manager Public Relations.
Any applicant for the Director Development Footwear/Apparel requires (at minimum) four years of college or university and “seven years of work experience in the athletic footwear industry, specializing in product development, design and / or marketing,” according to the job posting.
On June 29, Ye and adidas announced the expansion of their partnership, one that could potentially turn the “Famous” rapper into a billionaire. It was noted that they’d be looking for the “best design team in the country.”
Over the next few years, walking into a Yeezy retail store will become a thing as the German sportswear company plans on opening brick-and-mortar shops.
Yeezy-branded basketball and football gear is in the works too.
In 2014, Mr. West dumped Nike for a $10 million dollar deal with adidas, who has allowed the creative to be, well, creative.
adidas also helped foot the bill for Kanye West’s Madison Square Garden “Yeezy Season 3” fashion show, where he hired hundreds of models to stand around while blasting the world’s first listen of The Life of Pablo.

Nah. I really have autonomous control of my department. Send an email, tasks get completed. Only eye contact occurs during briefings and such. I guess this “weak man” goes to get his job done, gets them quarterly bonuses (and Christmas), is revered to the point where if I take a day off, there’s concern about productivity. Man, if that makes me a weak man, so be it. Respect is everything. Worrying about not getting eye contact is the least of my concern.
