Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing Ta F’ Wit If You Want A Fair Trial

RZA told the world that “Wu-Tang Clan ain’t nuthing to fuck wit” on the group’s debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The infamous Martin Shkreli got a reminder of this important lesson during the jury selection for his securities fraud trial.

A transcript from the selection process was released by Harper’s Magazine, revealing that Shkreli’s disrespect of the influential group was part of the reason one person was dismissed as a juror. Read the Wu-Tang referencing exchange between the court and the juror below.

The Court: All right. I’m going to excuse you. Juror Number 59, come on up.

Juror No. 59: Your Honor, totally he is guilty and in no way can I let him slide out of anything because —

The Court: Okay. Is that your attitude toward anyone charged with a crime who has not been proven guilty?

Juror No. 59: It’s my attitude toward his entire demeanor, what he has done to people.

The Court: All right. We are going to excuse you, sir.

Juror No. 59: And he disrespected the Wu-Tang Clan.

Shkreli was ultimately found guilty on three counts of securities fraud. The conviction didn’t stop his Wu-Tang taunting though, as he casually played the group’s $2 million album, Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, during a livestream. In the video, he told a reporter that he’d only listened to a few tracks from the project.

    1. “Shkreli was ultimately found guilty on three counts of securities fraud” translates to “Shkreli beat five out of eight charges”

      1. Way to stir the pot and show your sub-level intelligence. Look at the news, buddy. Better make sure you know what side you’re on.
