Tory Lanez has flaunted the fact that he’s currently under house arrest following an alleged fight between him and August Alsina.

Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) has been sentenced to house arrest until his long-delayed trial relating to his shooting case involving Megan Thee Stallion begins on November 28.

The house arrest order came as a result of an alleged scuffle that transpired in Chicago between Lanez and August Alsina, which the latter said kicked off when the former got mad he didn’t “dap him up or shake his hand.”

Alsina was photographed with a bloodied mouth and hands, and the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office confirmed shortly after that they were investigating the incident.

On Tuesday (November 8) the Chixtape singer posted a captionless picture to his Instagram Story that merely showed him donning some flip-flops and his ankle monitor.

Prosecutors argued during the hearing on October 26 that Tory be “remanded to custody” because they believed his alleged fight with Alsina violated his bail provisions. The prosecution also claimed that he posed a “threat to public safety.” A judge sentenced him to house arrest because Alsina hadn’t pressed charges.

Tory Lanez has denied any altercation with the Testimony singer.

Lanez is accused of shooting at Megan Thee Stallion and wounding both of her feet in July 2020. The trial was set to kick off in September but was ultimately delayed after Lanez told a judge his legal counsel was busy with other trials.

The L.A. County D.A.’s Office charged Lanez with a felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle in October 2020.

Tory Lanez has been relatively quiet about details surrounding the case, but clarified on a recent episode of DJ Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast that this was intentional because it’s not the “time and place” to offer those details.

“It’s three words brother: time and place,” Lanez said. “There’s gonna be a time and a place for that. But I do know this is not the time and place. The internet, like I said, is not a therapist. It doesn’t matter what I say to those people online. Until it is in that black and white it doesn’t matter anyway, so there will be a time and a place.”

He continued: “The difference between a lot of artists and me is they get so fed up with the ‘Ahh nah!’ And the screaming at them … and the accusation or whatever it is that they’re going through, that they feel the need to express themselves to people who do not know them. There is a time and a place brother when those people who I do not know and do not owe any explanation, will get an explanation.”

On the music side, Tory Lanez dropped off his new album  Sorry 4 What on September 30.
