Top Dawg Entertainment is a Hip Hop powerhouse. From Kendrick Lamar and SZA to Ab-Soul and Jay Rock, TDE’s roster is tight. Naturally, fans want to know what the imprint is up to.
On Wednesday (August 29), TDE founder/CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith answered a few questions on Twitter. Most notably, he gave an update on the elusive Ab-Soul who hasn’t released an album since 2016’s Do What Thou Wilt. But, it appears like that’s about to change.
“He’s working,” Top Dawg wrote. “He gave me some records last nite.”
When asked how many TDE projects fans can expect before the year is up, Top Dawg revealed there were a couple on the way and set a goal for himself.
“I have 2 more for y’all now,” he wrote. “I’m trying for 4.”
TDE’s latest releases include Black Panther: The Album, SiR’s November and Jay Rock’s Redemption. ScHoolboy Q hasn’t dropped an album since 2016’s Blank Face LP, so it’s possible he’s up next.

You’re entitled to your opinion, and I do think it’s possibly album of the year. But it’s definitely not fucking with Damn or GKMC. I think it’s right there with Blank Face, which ain’t no slight, they’re both dope as shit.

Outta the 2…. First will be Reason because videos and songs have been dropping recently and he’s about to go on the redemption tour with Jay Rock. Second will be Q in the 4th quarter.
Does anyone remember the terrible album rollout of Blank Face? The two-month snippet of the Groovy Tony video clip before the song + video were even released. I hope they get it right this time, they kind of dropped the ball, and the project slapped!
Thats a FACT! I still bump maaad joints off that album. And all the videos are mini movies. Shit is a classic wordup.
Also waiting for Soul to release, I know he dissapoint.
