The Game Wants Fan Input On New Project

After a relatively quiet second half to 2017, which included a lengthy break from social media, The Game has returned to announce he has begun working on a new project.

In a video uploaded to Instagram, The Game is in the studio talking with Raekwon about the similarities between Ice Cube and Kendrick Lamar. The Compton rapper goes on to reveal he has started working on a new project in the post’s caption field.

“& here we are….. in the golden years of what has been an amazing career to say the least…. this is the process I enjoy the most…. THE BEGINNING of a new project, new energy, new concept, new feel,” The Game wrote on Instagram. “I have a history of amazing projects & my body of work speaks for itself… my beat selection is impeccable & my bars… well, my fans know my track record…. so, get ready to take yet another ride down victory lane as I start a new project today….”

The Game later invites fans to suggest potential artists and producers they’d like to see him work with on the project. 50 Cent, The Game’s one-time rival, was among the names suggested, so too was Drake and Lil Wayne.

“to my fans, my TRUE, CORE FANS: let me know what you want to hear & toss ideas out on which producers & artist you want to see & hear me work with & I will mix that with my own thoughts & create something magical…. I owe you guys everything in the world for the endless love & support… I thank you, now let’s fuckin get it !!!!!!!!!”

At the time of publishing, details regarding the project’s release date and title remain scarce.

A few months after releasing 1992 in October of 2016, The Game announced his next album would be his last. At the time, he revealed the album would be called Westside Story. In a post uploaded to Instagram in May of 2017, The Game teased a potential collaboration with Kendrick Lamar and again reaffirmed the project would be his last album. A month later in June, The Game revealed the album would feature production from Dr. Dre.

It’s currently unclear whether The Game is referring to Westside Story in his latest Instagram post.

    1. I wish more artists would listen to their fans opinions more. This is such a good idea, like imagine if some lil Wayne fans from could give some opinions on C4 and stop it being the mess it was, or if Eminem listened to his fans instead of his label. They could drop constant classics.

    2. Like, wasn’t he working on it prior? These artists I tell you…smh jus announcing projects months ago just to be like “hey, I’m starting it now.” What about the weak singles?

      1. STFU with you stupid ass fake news. The story was a complete lie and no one covers it now because it has been vetted you sick POS

    3. In my book you are a top ten Mc you should do a collaboration with artist like nas’Lil Wayne ‘Montana off 300 ‘Andre 3000 and kurupt

    4. SERIOUS COMMENT – Avoid name dropping Dr Dre or 2pac in the whole album and I’ll buy 10 copies, that’s a promise!

    5. Make gay ass track and rap about molesting teens with your pervert homo ass homie Wacc100 lol Father of kids….shame on you Game. I hope 40 Glocc fucks your daughter and your junior fucks your daughter too

      1. So you talk shit about him molesting teens yet you wish his daughter to go through it. You’re an ignorant dumbass. Please wear a condom dawg, we need less mother fuckers like you. If you have kids, please let GAY couples who are willing to educate and be parents take over your sorry ass.
        Sincerely,
        EVERYONE

      2. like for real.who writes wac shit like that…just from your name, dude you are homo-dick-..thats some crazy shit to write about someones daughter..grow up

    6. just do with old school rappers thats fine !! my opinion which game should try to have rappers on his album : bone thugs again ( or just krayzie bone ) ,rakim, ice cube,wu tang,

    7. Redman, method man, Eminem, g eazy, Richie rich, ice cube, snoop, mc ren, Tony Tayo, young buck and Lloyd Banks.

    8. Just remove any beat you have with those wack trap ass water sprinkler hi-hats. Throw on some original drums and let that pen ride. Less trying to sound like what’s hot and just make a dope smooth record. Mix between LAX, DA2, and D2.

    9. Give us another Preemo joint please. Game’s three for three so far. Large Pro would be dope, he’s got that gritty monologue that could kick off a street record. WHAT WE TALKIN BOUT?!? Krayzie bone or the whole bone thugs on a hook.

Mix things up a little instead of hiring the same dudes everyone works with just for clicks, and then the records are skippable after a few plays. Perhaps get Kendrick on a Premier record, for the culture?

Joe Budden would be an exciting feature too, how about Royce
