Tekashi 6ix9ine Takes In NYC Photo-Op With Fans

Tekashi 6ix9ine has made a point to be out in public since getting off house arrest. The controversial rapper continued to display his willingness to be out in New York by staging a photo opportunity for fans on Wednesday (August 5)

Despite people fearing for his life after he snitched on the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, 6ix9ine boasted about not being in danger via Instagram.

“I heard New York was dangerous smh,” he captioned a video showing off his pleasant interactions with fans.

Just a few hours later, 6ix9ine posted another clip of him handing out money to kids (and some adults) on the street. In the caption, he once again bragged about his safety.

“In the hood everyday bitch I’m good what I say,” he wrote.

Since becoming a free man again, 6ix9ine has repeatedly trolled critics who claimed he wouldn’t be able to walk outside after snitching. His Instagram account features multiple videos mocking the situation, including one staged to look like he’s being chased.

After securing his release from house arrest, 6ix9ine shot and quickly dropped a video for a new single titled “Punani.” It marked his fourth song since April when he was granted a compassionate release from prison due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although 6ix9ine’s willing to go out in public, he’s been doing so with a heavy security detail. When questioned about his use of security during a livestream with DJ Akademiks, the polarizing artist pointed to the deaths of other rappers as examples of why he’s happy to have it.

“What’s the problem with security?” he asked. “Hip Hop does not like security, but Hip Hop loves Nipsey Hussle. Hip Hop loves Pop Smoke. Hip Hop loves XXX. What I mean by that — if you really love your favorite rapper, love security too, nigga. Cause [with] security, your favorite rapper would have been here today.”
