Tekashi 6ix9ine and his ex-manager Shottie have been arrested on racketeering and firearms charges. According to TMZ, they were both taken into custody by federal agents on Sunday night (November 18).
His former bodyguard, Faheem “Crippy” Walter, was also arrested and will be arraigned on Monday (November 19 in Manhattan federal court.
The investigation was launched by the New York Police Department, ATF (Bureau Of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms And Explosives) and U.S. Homeland Security. Racketeering is a federal charge under the 1970 RICO act and has a 93 percent conviction rate, making prison time likely for the 22-year-old multi-platinum artist.
6ix9ine recently fired his entire Tr3way and MTA booking team. During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, the 22-year-old accused his team of skimming $120,000 from a $3.6 million concert deal, which his former team denies.
Trouble has followed 6ix9ine since achieving mainstream notoriety. In October, he was sentenced to four years of probation for his 2015 child sex case with a credit for one year. He also received 1000 hours of community service and was ordered to cease any gang activity.
Earlier this month, 6ix9ine was allegedly the target of a drive-by shooting at an $80 million estate in Beverly Hills where he, Kanye West and Nicki Minaj were supposed to film a music video. He was also kidnapped and robbed by a former associate this summer and accused of assaulting a Houston fan in May.
