Tyler, The Creator’s New Album Drops Today

Tyler, The Creator is set to drop his new album, Don’t Tap the Glass, today.

The Odd Future founder, who only announced the project last week, confirmed that the album will be made available from 6AM EST on July 21.

The project will be Tyler’s ninth album and comes as he is still touring last year’s Chromakopia.

Not much is known about the album but the “Yonkers” rapper did unveil the artwork for the LP which features the rapper topless showing off his muscular physique.

Tyler did recently drop a new collaboration with Doechii titled “Get Right” at Louis Vuitton’s fashion show in Paris.

Produced by Pharrell Williams, it is not known if the song was made for Don’t Tap the Glass.

The raucous track featured Pharrell’s signature drums and was even reminiscent of Yeezus era Kanye West.

Tyler has also made no secret of his admiration of Doechii.

The Odd Future founder described his reaction to first coming across her music: “I came across Doechii on something that YouTube recommended. It was the ‘Catfish’ record or ‘Nissan Altima.’ I was like, ‘What is this? Damn, this girl pretty as hell.’ And I clicked it and I was blown away and I just kept going and kept going and kept going.”

He added: “I was like ‘Oh my God!’ and then I DMed her and I was like, ‘N-gga, I’m gonna need you in a few months!’ he continued. “And then we linked and yeah, she’s incredible. I’m so happy that she [won a Grammy] and she’s in folks’ faces and we have to just keep supporting artists who care about things.”

Tyler also brought out Doechii to perform with him on his Chromakopia world tour stop in Los Angeles and he took the opportunity to give the TDE star her flowers.

While they were both on stage, Tyler said: “I’m so happy she exists. We have to keep supporting everything she does. Keep supporting art. Keep supporting art.”

The love is definitely mutual, as Doechii named Tyler, The Creator as one of her favorite artists during an interview last September.
