Stop Retweeting That Lil Wayne “Carter V” Billboard Picture

Despite numerous posts that Lil Wayne has started promo for his long-awaited album Tha Carter V, it turns out someone simply knows their way around Photoshop.

On Wednesday (July 11), several tweets began infiltrating the web showing a giant billboard in Los Angeles with the words: “The F Is For Five.”

The word “Five” is written in red and the “V” is emphasized to make it look like the Roman numeral.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered the photo was pulled from a 2016 campaign promoting Postmates, a logistics company that specializes in local deliveries.

Tha Carter V has been held up for years due to label issues, but Wayne previously claimed he can release the album at will. Last month, he told the audience at Miami’s Story nightclub he had a meeting to discuss a potential release date for the project.

“Just to let y’all know I had a meeting today,” he said. “It wasn’t a long meeting. Just so y’all know, the meeting was about the release date of Tha Carter fucking V.”

Some people have started to catch on to the fake ad but others have run with it.

Wayne’s camp has yet to respond to the viral tweet. [apple_news_ad type=”any”]

    1. I can’t stop telling the story about when I rented a van for my birthday and took the whole block to the Juvenile Cash Money concert when 400 degrees just came and The Boyz say Lil Wayne would’t give them no love back stage but Baby did and soon as Cash Money hit the stage and Juvenile said throw Your Sets up brawl broke out and I found myself standing right next to Slim Williams Mr.Cash Money Behind the scene rocking a red Fuba hoodie standing in the crowd nobody did’t notice but I look at him and he look at me a surreal moment while the fights was going down in Greenville SC civic center

    2. I think it will be a very good album. Just think people got tired of Weezy after C4…He owned radio from like 2004-2010. Lots of good singles and great feature artist

    3. Wow. This is stupid and desperate from Wayne’s camp. How long has he been gone? His label can’t just drop some new shit on us, they gotta “create” a new buzz and make up fake hype / dispel it at the same time.
