    1. Best female rapper in the game right now. Crown was really good, with 9 wonder on production, her content sounds classic.

      1. Idea of Beautiful and She Got Game are certified classics. And Crown was a great record too. Wish this chick was getting the recognition she deserves instead of wackass Cardi B getting put on.

        1. Remember when Nas first came out? He did not get the recognition he deserve with Illmatic. He had to make more commercial records like “It was written” to get the recognition. Jay Z as well with Reasonable Doubt….

To me, Illmatic is the most complete hiphop album.

    2. Rapsody is dope. Although I do wish more people knew about her, I’m kinda glad she is where she’s at right now. At least she was featured on Kendrick’s TPAB, so the ones that bought and listened to it have some idea who she is.

    3. Here to say what everyone’s already said..Rap is one of the dopest spitters in the whole game, male or female. Everyone needs to check her older work, you will not be disappointed.

Side note if you want to hear another female who’s got bars but is criminally unknown, check Dutch ReBelle out of Boston. Not quite on Rapsodys level yet but still dope.

      1. umm, blow up? not necessarily, just put it out (with a little more marketing and momentum this time), and the people that its intended to hear, will hear it. she’s a great artist, why not give her a lil more exposure?

    4. I hope this is another CLASSIC! Looks like more big name feature than I would think Rapsody needs; but she isn’t featuring and trap or mumble artists so the features are looking good.

    5. Roc Nation? Outside of J Cole, Roc Nation has bungled the careers of all of their artists. Signing with them is like signing death certificate for your career. Hope Rapsody can overcome the Roc Nation curse.

    6. fuk these haters, Rapsody actually RAPS… and wayyyyyyyyyyy better than all the bum ass rappers that are flooding timelines

    7. She sounds nothing like Drake, so therefore she will not succeed. Only Drake has the formula now.

What many of you fail to recognize is that Kendrick has so much respect for Drake’s talent that he plays every song to Drake before deciding which ones to include on the album. Drake practically ghost executive produces for Kendrick.

    8. The first nas album I got was stillmatic..it was so good I went back and bought all the albums he released b4 that 1. Same reaction here with rhapsody. Almost ashamed to say I slept on her. She’s one of the best out. Her album is scary good. I’m rooting for her.

    9. As I feared, Rapsody isn’t evolving its like shes stuck in time. Now Hip Hop wise the lyrics are there, don’t get it twisted. The album starts off low, high point is Kendrick’s feature on power and I wish most of the delivery on the album was like the track Ridin. This album feels like her version of to pimp a butterfly with that andre 3000/big boi speaker box/ love below flow Sassy! I love that song!!! haha 3/5

    10. Now I only wanted to check out the Black Thought feature but after listening to the whole thing one is for sure – this girl knows how to pick dope beats better than your favourite rapper does, hey Nas. Female rap is not my cup of tea but this album seems really, really good, seems THAT good

    11. Just listened. I liked it, but I think I liked Crown a lot better. Crown had a rugged underground aesthetic to it, whereas this is more polished like it is going for more mass appeal (which I didn’t expect with so many 9th Wonder beats, but then again I did because of all the mainstream features and the Roc Nation label). But maybe I need to listen a few more times, I was studying while it was playing, I really wanted to love this.

      1. Yeah it sounds more polished for sure. Not in a negative way to me though. I don’t know if this is the one to push her into the mainstream or not because based on ability & quality she should already be there, but it’s a really good album. I need a few more listens as well to rate it so it didn’t slap me in the face like an instant classic would but it is quality. Like top 10 of ’17 quality.
