Rap Release Dates: Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, Juvenile, Common

The time has finally arrived. After months of dissection, Drake’s album Take Care is upon us (check out the review). Drizzy has domination a considerable amount of Hip Hop’s conversations lately, a mixed bag of despising Drake’s style, respecting Drake’s style, and wondering what Drake’s style really is. Either way, the album is here, we’ve delivered enough tracks off the album (“HYFR,” “The Ride,” “The Real Her,” and “Take Care” being the most recent) and now we’re ready to move forward and shift discussions into November/December and early 2012 releases.

Next week Yelawolf comes through with Radioactive. Wolf is crawling up the Shady 2.0 ladder – probably due in part to how reminiscent he really is of Shady 1.0. Last week, another leak off the album came called “Throw It Up” with mentor Eminem and a surprising return from Gangsta Boo. While he prepares a nuclear meltdown of music, Rihanna also drops Talk That Talk. The largely pop-R&B work has only one rap collaboration – the title track featuring Jay-Z. RiRi enjoys teetering on the edge of various genres, while not fulling committing to just one. However, The Queen Of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige knows exactly who she is. MJB delivers My Life II: The Journey Continues next week as well. Mary Jane has a few Hip Hop tricks up her sleeve too in the form of the Drake-assisted “Mr. Wrong,” “Why” with Rick Ross, and “Feel Inside” with Nas. Mary also plans to deliver a My Life II: Act Two in May of 2012. It’s no news that Mary makes everything sound good, but shout out to her first Hip Hop love song she delivered “All I Need” with Method Man.

New dates were announced from polar opposite veterans. Common takes a break from acting and sponsorships to drop The Dreamer, The Believer on December 20th. Com Sense recently reunited with No I.D. on the cut “Sweet” and there’s surely more where that came from. Before that, Juvenile will drop Rejuvenation on December 13th; that’s one week after Mistah F.A.B.’s I Found My Backpack 2: The Lost Notebook comes on December 6th. In newbie news, OFWGKTA DJ/Producer Syd the Kyd also has some singing chops, as she goes by the name The Internet (a Google nightmare) and brings Purple Naked Ladies also on December 20th.

In limbo news, Wiz Khalifa announced that he’ll be releasing a mixtape and an album pretty soon. The album will be called O.N.I.F.C., with the mixtape “Taylor Allderdice.” Neither have a definitive delivery date. Singer slash sometimes rapper Chris Brown will bring Fortune soon too. Maybe CBreezy will be rapping, maybe he won’t. He has some competition though from semi-sorta-rapping-singer Trey Songz, who is still holding firm to an Inevitable release on November 29th.
