With her upcoming album My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act 1) arriving on November 21st, Mary J. Blige already has a timeline in mind for its follow-up. Speaking with That Grape Juice, the Queen of Hip Hop/Soul revealed that Act 2 will release in May 2012.

“As far as producers, there’s Danja, Rodney Jerkins, Jerry Wonda, Eric Hudson, Swizz Beatz…,” she said, naming producers for Act 1. “And this is only Act 1, there’s another one coming in May, My Life 2, which is Swizz Beatz, of course Rico Love. And Jim Jonsin’s on this one, and Drake.”

She also touched on “Loving a Woman,” a duet with Beyonce that appears on her impending release. Though they didn’t hit the studio together, MJB received the completed song from Bey and kept her vocals on it for the album.

“I didn’t get a chance to work with Beyonce in person. She gave the song to me, it had her complete full vocal on it. When her people gave it to me, I asked, ‘Are you really giving me this record?’ They said yes. I was like, ‘OK, what do you want me to do with Beyonce’s vocals?’ They were like, ‘She wants to stay on the record.’ That’s how I got that record – she wanted to be on a duet with me.”
