Rap Release Dates: Obie Trice, Diggy Simmons, B.o.B., Curren$y

Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone that celebrates it. While the albums out today might not be the most romantic ones to share with your significant other, there are some surprises. Curren$y drops off Muscle Car Chronicles. After many delays, it’s finally here and HipHopDX really liked it (read our review here). Meanwhile, the Jay-Z cosigned Danny! aka Danny Swain brings Payback, along with Ski Beatz’s 24 Hour Karate School Presents: Twilight.

In the land of pushbacks, we were supposed to get Obie Trice’s Bottoms Up at the end of this month. Instead, that album will be arriving on April 3rd so mark your calendars. Likewise, B.o.B. was supposed to deliver Strange Clouds in March. Bobby Ray moved that one over to May 1st. Some new additions made it, though. Melanie Fiona’s The MF Life was originally supposed to come in 2011, but now we can check that one out on March 27th. Before that? Diggy Simmons gets a release date for Unexpected. You can expect that on March 20th with Odd Future’s OF Tape Vol. 2. It’s time to welcome Hip Hop’s new school, everybody.

    1. smh, Hip Hop aint what it used to be, bunch of want the spotlight beat and chorus having muthafuckers. No one on the list with creativity, pen skill, shit is depressing. ONLY album I’m even going to dig money out the wallet for is Obie. SHAME on Em’s soul sellin’ ass for replacing him with that new jack Yealowulf, dude is ass. Compare this album release list with ones of past and we can all see where music has gone. Oh well, Obies album hopefully is nasty, son’s pen game is SOOOOO underrated I miss those days when he was runnin with Shady/Aftermath.

      1. amen to that. ITs not limited to rap; the whole music industry is terrible right now thanks to the labels. They’ve all restricted creativity in hopes of hitting on a single. Obie had no reason to be dropped, the guy sold a million and had a strong following. If they had released his album 3 years ago when it was finished I think it wouldve sold 150,000 first week. I hope people still go out and support it because you know it will be better than anything else coming out these days expect for GSNT(which ironically was alsho shelved)

      2. Are you guys not noticing young talented musicians like Big KRIT or Kendrick? If they are the future of rap there’s no reason to focus on the past like you do.

    2. Obie’s shit will most likely get pushed back….AGAIN. Other than that, nothing on this list peaks my interest. On the flip side, alot of shit is SUPPOSED to come out this year so we’ll see what happens.

    3. ya’ll gotta add Tech N9ne’s “Klusterfuk” EP out 3/13 ‘n Mayday’s Take Me To Your Leader got moved up to 3/26

    4. ony ones i want are obie trice, joe budden, boogie down productions, and yelawolf, wheres big ls album? to mainstream guys
