Rap Release Dates: Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Slaughterhouse, Prodigy, Jim Jones

We’re not even halfway through the Summer yet, and the anticipation for Fall album releases is already building. While Slaughterhouse kept delaying welcome to: Our House, the collective will finally drop that on August 28th, alongside Meek Mill’s Dreams & Nightmares and Wiz Khalifa’s O.N.I.F.C. That’ll be one productive trip to the now-proverbial record store. As September kicks in, we have news that A$AP Rocky will drop LongLiveA$AP on September 11th. The leader of the A$AP Mob has already confirmed that Pharrell and Waka Flocka Flame are on board for the project. Who knows who else will join in by then.

Kendrick Lamar is finally releasing his LP Good Kid, Mad City on October 2nd. Considering so many albums are pushed back, having his release a little further into the Fall leads us to believe that his date will definitely stick. Place your bets now on whether or not the Top Dawg will get a Dr. Dre feature on his major label debut. Queens and Harlem might connect soon too, as Prodigy announced that he and Jim Jones are probably doing a collaborative album together. We’ll update you on the progress of that project as information becomes available.

    1. A$AP Rocky won’t release his album on September 11th, but some day in september, he said that in several interviews.. that september 11th shit was just a joke.

      1. You’ve never heard Chris Brown rap before?? And they’ve given us release dates for Mary J and Beyonce before too. RnB is so close to hip hop at this point anyway (to me as long as the album has rap features, put in on this list)
Looking forward to several albums this summmer: Nas, Ross, Wiz, TIP, Kendrick, and Big Boi! Whatever happened to Texas albums?????? BRING BACK SCARFACE, Z RO, SLIM THUG, CHAMILLIONAIRE, TRAE, BUN B, and SPM!!

    7. “MC Eiht Which Way Iz West gonna be classic”

I’m all fore old rappers dusting off the mic, but really? MC Eiht?

    8. Slaughterhouse will get delayed again. The singles they’ve releaased aren’t generating the buzz Interscope needs to feel confident. On paper this seemed like a good idea.
