Logic Crowned Best ‘Rap Artist In The Game Right Now’ By Zac Efron

Logic received his flowers from actor Zac Efron during a recent meet-up, and the High School Musical star made a pretty bold claim about the Maryland rapper.

The duo were sharing a drink when the movie star went out on a limb and said Logic has no competition when it comes to being the best rap artist in the game. According to Efron, he’ll put the rapper’s music up against anyone, past or present.

“What you do is on a completely, completely different level. I don’t think there’s a better rap artist in the game right now,” Efron said. “Lyrically, I put your stuff up against anybody that’s ever lived of all time, and honestly, that’s my truth.”

Logic replied: “That means a lot coming from you, Zac Efron. I feel like you could rap Zac Efron.”

Zac Efron laughed before saying: “I would love to flow if we turned the camera off.”

Logic dropped his seventh studio album, Vinyl Days, back in June, including features from Action Bronson, Curren$y, Russ, Wiz Khalifa, Royce da 5’9″, RZA, DJ Premier, The Game and more.

During an episode of Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast in July, the rapper revealed he recorded Vinyl Days in just two weeks so he could get out of his Def Jam contract as soon as possible.

“I made that album in 12 days so I could get off Def Jam,” he admitted. “That’s my favorite part – I’m off Def Jam. I made that album so I could leave, and guess what? I left them with some of the dopest shit I could give them. It’s not like I just wiped my ass. What am I excited about? I’m excited to be independent, I’m excited to do my thing.”

He added: “I’m really happy to know that I represented and low-key was the face of the label — one of the illest Hip Hop labels of all time — and that I sold millions and millions of records and gave them billions and billions of streams, and that it was a good partnership. And I couldn’t be happier to get the fuck out.”

The 32-year-old has been publically critical of the historic label over the years, calling them out on Instagram for not paying his collaborators and how they handled his releases.

“@defjam can you please pay my friends and musicians that have made my albums great this is ridiculous at this point!” he said in October 2020. “I shouldn’t be getting calls from close friends of mine in the middle of dinner with my Wife about how YOU haven’t paid them from the budget you’ve given me for this album.”

Following the release of Vinyl Days, Logic announced he’d signed a new deal with BMG Rights Management earlier in July.

“There’s a lot of bullshit in the music industry,” he said in a statement at the time. “I’m just glad to move on to a place where I can be independent and respected as an artist, and feel like I’m in control of my career.”

    1. Dope Logic getting some respect. He deserves it. Vinyl Days better than Mr Morale imo. That being said, Logic one of the best rappers of all time. Hell nah

        1. Nah Vinyl Days is better than its almost dry and more black super heroes. I agree Drill Music in Zion is better. Also the Forever Story, Melt My eyez and Cheat Codes are better imo. But there are just many quality albums this year

      1. Who’s he getting respect from lol! Zac fucking Efron are you serious??? That wh!te b!tch probably only listens to radio friendly rappers, is that who you want to be praised by, straight up MAYONNAISE, karen soccer mom music

    2. That chin strong af it’s like a face guard you gotta go for the back of his head that shit absorbing everything from the front

    3. What’s up with that pic of Zac Efron? Usually he’s hot… I mean a decent looking bro. He looks jacked up in that pic.

        1. Na bro, I’m a hundred percent straight but that’s Zac Efron we talking about. If you talking about Zac Efron, Brad Pitt or David Beckham it ain’t gay. Everybody know that. You can eat shrimp out they butthole and it don’t count as gay.

    4. Logic is okay but I happen to disagree with that decision making him being the ultimate king of hip hop like really? Alright if that’s the case then what about Eminem?

      1. Logic is half black same as J. Cole and Drake but you crown them GOATS because their skin color is a shade darker. Perhaps Logic should hit the beach so you could cum quicker.

      2. Zac is not white. From Zac Efron’s Wikipedia page’s “Early Life” section.. “His paternal grandfather is J00ish,and Efron has described himself as J0Oish.”

    5. Ahhh, white people. They’re tons of fun aren’t they? Logic is WAY better than Black Thought and has put out tons of stuff better than the Cheat Codes album. Sarcasm.

      1. Not all white people call white artists GOATs. In fact many can wrap circles around your racist ass when it comes to hip hop knowledge. Black Thought isn’t even top 10 btw so best you go back to school.

    6. So that actually mean J. Cole Drake and Kendrick are the best since every song that dude’s ever did is a rendition of one of them. Most overhyped mediocre rapper. We didn’t forget you wearin that NASA suit dawg.

    7. I enjoyed “Vinyl Days”, ” No Pressure”, “Under Pressure” and his Doc D album was fine too. The rest not so much, besides a track here and there.
I always respected him cause I thought he has skills, but he was never in danger to be called the best rapper by me. And you know, it’s fine if he is the best rapper for soneone but yeah, he doesn’t have anything to back that up in MY opinion. Talented dude but nothing he does is over original or over appealing.

    8. Redman, Method Man, Black Thought, Nas, The Game, Em, Kendrick, Busta, Inspectah Deck, Big Boi, Skyzoo etc all still making shit. Who the fuck is this guy compared to them? Not saying dude is wack or anything, but cmon now. Zac fucking Efron don’t get an opinion about the best Hip Hop. Gtfo

      1. Why not? I don’t agree with it, but he gets his opinion. I’m sure just about 99% of rap fans wouldn’t agree, but again, it’s his opinion.

    9. Vinyl Days kinda like the days of Roc-A-Fella. Legends love logic. Some dummies don’t and it doesn’t matter, never did, never will.
